She is all out of arrows, can't wait till they rip that gavel out of her claws. It's hard to believe we have a system that allows Pelosi to grossly abuse her power and position to attack someone.

It looks like No Mask Nadler pooped himself @ yesterday's presser. THE LOOK on Nancy's face says it all. She thought she was back in her driveway for a second.

McCarthy threatens motion to oust Pelosi if she moves forward with impeachment
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) on Wednesday threatened to introduce a motion to oust Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) if she attempts to impeach President Trump or Attorney General William Barr as a delay tactic to prevent the Senate from confirming Trump's Supreme Court nominee.

Nadler performed a double-Swalwell but didn’t stick the landing.

    LOL

Speaking of the George Costanza of American politics, did he have a 12 Martini lunch before this presser or is he just learning how to walk?

Trump has done plenty to be impeached over, but republican control the Senate, so it would be pointless as republicans in the Senate do not care

I wasn't aware that the minority party can do such a thing. At any rate it's an impressive but specious effort. There is no way that Pelosi can delay the nominee's approval which is entirely in the senate's hands. It would take her at least days to draw up articles of impeachment, ignoring how she would Procrustes-like force the nomination of a justice to fit within bribery, treason and high crimes. Furthermore the senate can take it up for trial any time they choose, like schedule it for January 6 at which time it would probably be moot because of the new congress. Or the procedure where the senate conducts no other business during a senate impeachment trial is a senate rule, not a law or in the constitution, and can be changed if the senate wants.

    :roflol:

offer a “motion to vacate” the speaker’s chair — a procedural move that would require Republicans to get a majority of House members to remove Pelosi

Assuming that the GOP unanimously agrees...
Where are the 17 Democratic votes (to "oust" Pelosi) going to come from?

I don't think that McCarthy (as is par for the course) has thought this through very well.

Is that all you got?? Commenting on an old person who may have incontinence issues?? Really?? How charitable of you.

McCarthy can call for a motion to impeach Pelosi all he wants; I doubt there is enough support to get it on the floor. For the record, after what Trump said this past week about refusing to step down as president if he lost the election due to mail in ballots (even thought he voted by mail in balloting) I hope the House moves to impeach him again.

For what it's worth, Pelosi is already walking back her talk of impeachment. She must have either figured out she couldn't pull it off, or some sort of polling told her how unpopular another round of the impeachment sham would be with everyone but her lunatic fringe followers.

It would be to delay the seating of a right wing justice and they should use EVERY tool they have but I have no confidence in the feckless dinosaur Dems to do that. They all need to be unseated by Progressives who actually have the gonads.

I don't know why she / you / anybody thinks it would be a significant delay though. The Senate could deal with frivolous articles of impeachment in a matter of minutes.

It would be hilarious if they could just tear them up like Pelosi did with Trump's speech. Just for the symbolism, ROFL.

The establishment Dems are useless and more right wing than they are left wing. They are not an opposition party.

A member of the House cannot be impeached by anybody. However, the Speaker can be removed from her post by the members. However, and I might be mistaken, but I think that can be done only by the majority party.

Trump never said he would refuse to leave office if he lost the election. He probably would have said he would not "step down" if he lost the election, but I don't think he was ever asked that. You can bet your last dollar that if the Democrats retain control of the House there will be another impeachment -- over his comments about mail-in voting, his nominating a justice that the Dems didn't want him to, eating ketchup on steaks, or whatever. Impeachment is the sole remaining activity that the House seems to be capable of doing. Trump uses highly controlled mail-in balloting as has been practiced in all states for decades. It is the recently executed universal mail-in (or in some states collected by party hacks, called harvesting) voting that is fraught with fraud and error possibilities that Trump correctly views as a potential disaster. And BTW judges rewriting election laws, which is the sole prerogative of state legislatures, is also a disaster.

Ha this is great. McCarthy has totally backed off this comment.

Because he actually has no arrows and cannot remove her. It’s all “symbolism” he says now. What a buffoon.

    Iowa - Joni Ernst
    Maine - Susan Collins
    Colorado - Hickenlooper
    Arizona - McSally
    NC - Tillis

    Georgia - Jones is out

He’s going to lose the Senate on a gamble.
