This is the first time I heard about this, and it seems pretty crazy. What, did PETA genetically modify an organism to stop people from eating? Joking aside, this seems like earths way of trying to prevent humans from eating so much meat. I eat meat, don't get me wrong, but it is bad how much teh world eats, when it takes I think around 8 lbs of plant food for every 1 lb of meat gained. NOt very efficient food source. Plus it adds to obesity. I think earth has a way of fighting back against the quick growing human populations. STDs, particularly HIV, also seems like a good way of trying to counter or try to slow human reproduction.
