I always love seeing how the White House will be decorated for Christmas. This year's theme is the "Spirit of America". I think it's beautiful. Maybe we can all quit bickering for a few minutes and just enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations. https://fox8.com/2019/12/02/melanie-trump-unveils-2019-white-house-christmas-decorations/
Once again, our lovely First Lady graces the White House with exquisite, tastefully-festive decorations. The holiday atmosphere she's created will cheer many of us during the Christmas season, and, it will provide the hyperliberal Christmas-haters and Trump-haters something else to bitch about... just like last year. Something for everyone!
You know, I get the whole thing, but decorating the White House for the holidays has always been a bit over the top. There are two and a half dozen Christmas trees in those photos, and it's unlikely that's all there are. Surely it's possible to dress the place up without going to such an ostentatious level, no?
Almost as nice as what my wife puts together... Also beats the snot out of this creepy scene last year Also, I'd like to get an extreme close-up of that Mt. Rushmore to the left of the WH... I bet there's been an "artists rendering" of a new design....
I suppose "ostentatious" is in the eye of the beholder If she'd decorated less, I can imagine the haters squealing about how she was cheap or lazy or hated America..... And besides, we are the greatest nation on Earth and we're celebrating the birth of Christ after all
And nothing says 'celebrating the birth of Christ in a manger' better than dozens of trees, hundreds of lights, and thousands of dollars... It's very pretty, but it's hard to equate this level of decorations with the true spirit of Christmas, IMHO... The WH follows the Frazier Crane Theory of Christmas decorations - "Is less is more, imagine how much more MORE would be"
Color choices direct from Putin... I hope a patriot contacts Schiff and Nadler to add this to the articles of impeachment.. They got him this time!!! RESIST!!!
A tasteful traditional display. Sure to explode all the discriminating progressive minds out there...
Well the left only get all christmasy if its a ever fruiting "Money tree" grown from the ass of the rich
And the conservative's idol is Ebenezer Scrooge. See how those projections work? As to the WH Christmas decorations: Trophy Christmas trees from the trophy wife (probably helped by 20 designers on the tax-payer's dime) for the photo op. How this has anything to do with the spirit of Christmas is beyond me. But, it is definitely Trumpian.
Well there are scrooges and hypocrites on both sides, I am not one of them.. I celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus, I'm overly generous to people I know, hardly know and DON'T know. To be honest I'm like that all year long, but little over the top around Christmas!
Ah, and who do you think donates the most to charities...? Would it be rich people, or some bunch of irresponsible bottom-feeders who are already in debt up to their eyeballs...? Question: If old Scrooge hadn't already gotten to be as rich as Croesus, how in hell would he have had all the money to lavish on everybody in "Camden Town" when he made his big splash on Christmas Day?! Afterthought: the best movie version, by far, I've ever seen of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" was this one (and I don't usually even like 'musicals'): https://www.amazon.com/Scrooge-Albe...qid=1575304482&sprefix=scrooge,aps,285&sr=8-4
the average person donates a bigger percent of their income to charity, they just do not write it off on their taxes
Holy crap! Those are the most racist, white Klansman like decorations I have ever seen, that is it, I am now all in on impeachment, the dems were correct this is an assault on America. Melania is the real Russian plant. Damn it, how was I so easily duped into voting for this clown.
Oh, shut up! Like mr. And mr. Obama touched an ornament. Of Hillary cared about christmas at all . Hater .
Oh, without question... Well, not everyone celebrates the birth of Christ. Christmas is, in many segments of our society, a secular holiday. If you want to know which segments those are, just look at who's lining up outside Wal-Mart at 11:00pm on Thanksgiving night...
