'Washington can't stop Americans': Michael Bloomberg pledges to pay US share of Paris climate funding US billionaire Michael Bloomberg has offered $15 million to UN efforts to tackle climate change after President Donald Trumpannounced he is pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord. The money would support the operations of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Executive Secretariat, "including its work to help countries implement their commitments under the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change," Bloomberg Philanthropies said in a statement late Thursday. "Americans are not walking away from the Paris Climate Agreement," Michael Bloomberg said. "Just the opposite - we are forging ahead." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...stop-americans-michael-bloomberg-pledges-pay/ Time to put up or shut up libs, go donate part of your income, nobody is stopping you in paying your fair share to fight global warming, just don't tell me I have to if I don't want to.
Wow 15 million out of his 49 billion dollar net-worth. 0.03%. How generous. You'd think the fate of the Earth would cause him to sacrifice a bit more. Unless, of course, he isn't all that worried about it? Still, he did more than most libs would do. Many will only pay more if they know their neighbors are compelled to do the same. Can't let another boomer family get ahead of my standard of living!
Actually, Bloomberg has given over $900 million to various causes over the last ten years - most environmental causes like the Sierra Club. Must really chap your ass the a Jewish Liberal makes you look like such a failure.
1.8% of his net-worth. What a hero. Jewish liberals are very smart and able to acquire a lot of money in their quest for shekels and influence over the goy masses. That's never been in dispute as far as I'm concerned. But I'm glad to hear a progressive admit that he is a liberal. I've seen numerous people talk about his "Republican" label, as if he was anything like a Republican.
washington does not stop Americans, it is the rich who control it. he could have donated that to the poor Americans who have priority over future theoretical deaths from climate change.
