MO's lack of stockings has been talked about in the fashion world since she first took office. For 20 somethings, going barelegged is considered trendy. For 50 somethings, not so much... especially with expensive designer clothes and formal gowns. Might see her in black tights occasionally, but never stockings.
I am certainly no fashion expert but I do notice lovely woman. https://www.google.com/search?q=ren...lookbook%2FRene%2BRusso%2FY94it2sTDvf;389;594 Or google Rene Russo dress. Lots of photo's of lovely Rene Russo bare legged and looking gorgeous. Google Christie Brinkley 2014 dress- she is a lovely woman with great bare legs. Andie McDowell, Valerie Bertinelli, Vanessa Williams- lots of lovely women in expensive designer clothes going bare legged. The evidence doesn't support your claim.
She didn't take office, her husband did. Post a link to an article talking about her lack of stockings. I don't believe you for a second.
The fact you can't find a pic of her wearing stockings is all the proof you need. Why is that a bigger deal than some folks thinking she's a man?
Repeat after me 'I luv you Moochelle' - sweaty feet and all! http://m.pbpulse.com/news/news/gen-...bate-michelle-obama-doesnt-wear-panty-/nMNjR/ http://www.libertysflame.com/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=22029
From your first article: When it comes to the great pantyhose divide, there's no straddling the line -- on this side, women, who cling to stockings, and one the other, those who swear by going bare. In the latter's corner sits the fashion industry, which has long declared pantyhose verboten - too frumpy, too fake, too old-fashioned. "The bare leg look I really trace to the early to mid-'90s," says Kendall Farr, author of Style Evolution: How to Create Ageless Personal Style in Your 40s and Beyond, "when everything really started this tectonic shift from very dressed, very label-y, very accessorized and hyper-coordinated to something really stripped down, very vintage-inspired and meant to be much more real." Real? The reality, some women say, is that pantyhose can camouflage a multitude of imperfections - like a good foundation enhances a slightly flawed complexion. "Stockings are makeup for the legs" was a refrain that Maryellen Murphy, a Stuart consultant in her 40s, often heard from her mother. And just as some women wouldn't dream of leaving the house without lipstick, some gals - even in sweltering South Florida - feel that dresses and skirts demand the finish that only a fine-denier stocking can provide. "Stockings really add polish to a look," Murphy says. What exactly constitutes "polish" may no longer be universally defined, but the desire for a great pair of gams is universal, says Clinton Kelly, co-host of TLC's What Not to Wear. "On our show, most women don't want to wear pantyhose, but they do want perfect - or close to perfect - legs," he says. Kelly and most stylists suggest forgoing hose in favor of moisturizers with bronzing properties, such as Jergens Natural Glow, and for issues such as spider or varicose veins, products like Dermablend Leg & Body Cover Foundation. In the end, Kelly says, "Pantyhose are completely up to the individual. They're still socially acceptable." - See more at: http://m.pbpulse.com/news/news/gen-...oesnt-wear-panty-/nMNjR/#sthash.OJloOP56.dpuf Hmmm seems like the fashion industry and the stylists are all for bare legs- but In the end, Kelly says, "Pantyhose are completely up to the individual. They're still socially acceptable." Except of course to you.
LOL, I'm not going to discuss the merits of wearing stockings with a man. Suffice it to say where most women slide silky tootsies into expensive pumps, MO crams her bare size 12s (or 14s, depending on who you ask) feet into those expensive shoes which must smell like a locker room by the time she takes them off. Trendy and lazy are two different things. Michelle is lazy.
One can be a fashoinista without being petty and nasty and it is rather sad that some believe otherwise. Sadly people who put others down to feel better themselves often have little else to sustain them
Dear Gods and little fishes! Thank Goodness you are not in Australia - we just are grateful if the current PM and missus are not in thongs - and more than grateful if Tonee Abbott never ever is seen in Budgie Smugglers again! Now what is a bit of bare shoeing got on that - I ask you!!!!! gotta wonder just how petty these comments can get
Maybe it's a good thing that she is a man-her husband certainly isn't. BTW, fans, who's more butch-Michelle or Hillary? Enjoy!
Who could care less!!!! If the WORST comment about someone is that they do not wear visible stockings with their shoes - then all that can be said is that they must be doing something right
