I feel so much safer with armed extremists storming a state capitol to protest policies meant to protect people during a pandemic. It is such a shining example of what the founders intended when they ratified the 2nd Amendment.

 

It actually is(while they did form the Federal Government in response to the State governments failing by themselves), even when they put down Shay's rebellion, they didn't discourage the idea of rebellion itself. In fact, that's where we've got our rather lenient tradition when it comes to punishing Americans in the political arena.
