The Colorado program, I think it was, had been privately funded. Results were outstanding. The state legislature was asked to continue the funding (which would actually SAVE the taxpayer a bundle). The legislature, dominated by Republicans, refused to take over the funding. They didn't cut anything, most especially unwanted pregnancies.

At some point, it makes sense to recognize that this isn't working, and to try something a little different.

 

"Implicit bias and reduced opportunity". Nah. More like criminal records and faulty judgment. We're all equal, it's 2015. Get with the times. If they haven't been able to stand as equals despite advancements, the sad and unfortunate truth may be: They never will.

 

I think the hint was the idea that PP, being racist and eugenicist as well as immoral, has a hidden agenda to reduce the black population by systematic race-based abortion.

If PP was backed by Conservatives the left would want it shut down for being racist since there is a huge disparity in percentages by demographics.

Exactly as many fetuses were aborted as women who wanted them aborted. UNLESS he is contending that someone FORCED these women to abort , there is nothing shocking about it.

NO one forced these women to CHOOSE abortion.

 

If you want to debate the word shocking or shock do it with someone else.. I personally find that amount of abortions shocking but i am sane.

No, it's better than that even. PP is kidnapping black women, forcing them to get pregnant and THEN giving them forced abortions. You almost had it right, just missed a step.

Except you are as well aware as I am that Planned Parenthood isn't aggressively going door to door looking for black fetuses to abort. They are passive like any business, advertising their services and waiting for people to come in and use them. So the huge disparity by demographics is really a disparity in relative rates of unwanted pregnancy. For some reason, black girls tend to get pregnant at a rate substantially exceeding girls of any other demographic. I seriously doubt that they engage in substantially more sex. So I speculate that they are using substantially less contraception. And that CAN be improved dramatically, if states want to.

 

Being responsible hardly requires perfection.

YES, PP wants to offer ACCESSIBLE health care for poor women.....that means putting clinics where there's a NEED...
