I was not directing my comment to you personally, I was speaking to the other poster.

What you have experienced must be horrible and for that, I apologize. However, I do not feel sorry for the countrymen fleeing when many have the option to fight. Yes, many of them have women and children they need to be with. But guess what? Do you know how many American men, women, and children abandoned their families to fight for independence? If you truly want independence, a nation of people will unite to gain it. Not count on small cells of unequipped fighters and hope for the best.

I appreciate the sentiment my friend, if you would have known this woman you would be extremely depressed this evening. She was really special, and she loved her kids like nothing I've ever seen before.

Her husband took an engineering job in Dubai some years ago, and he would come home periodically or send for them to visit him. This is very normal over there as many of the really good jobs are out of the country. That affords these families really nice homes and a lifestyle that most Syrians would never see.

She enjoyed a good life, and wanted for nothing until the war stared. Naturally everything changed after that because food is scare, power is only on sometimes, and internet & phone service is spotty at best.

She had a 17 year old son that left for Germany some time ago because he was going to be drafted to fight for Assad, and his mother absolutely wasn't having that so she got him out of the country.

From what I understand, her son had communicated with her recently begging her to either join her husband in Dubai or come to Germany to be with him to escape ISIS because things in their town were getting really bad.

She couldn't go the Dubai to be with her husband and he couldn't get her out because no other countries in the Gulf States are allowing any travel visa's at this time. (it's all very complicated)

Apparently she decided to try to take her two young girls to Germany to join her son where they would wait until the father could make it there later.

She never did, because the Turkish animals that took her money put her in a boat along with 35 other people that shouldn't have been in a bath tub let-alone the ocean, and they all perished. There were many other small children along with their mothers and/or fathers that also died as well as her two girls.

Honestly, besides the jackal that put her in the boat, I blame her husband for all of this, and if I ever see him again none of you will see me on these forums again because I won't be responsible for what I do to him.

I don't understand how he could just continue to work in Dubai with a war raging in Syria all these years leaving that beautiful woman and those beautiful kids behind. There was a time a year or so back where he could have gotten them all out to Dubai but for whatever reasons he didn't.

She didn't ask him too but that's what I would have done. I would never leave my wife & kids in a war torn country with animals like ISIS running around.

He sent them tons of money always, but still.................that's not the point.

I've learned all of this since my original posts from making many phone calls, and talking to the rest of her family that's still there.

Regarding your feelings on Syrians not fighting, brother.......what can I tell you that I haven't said a million times in here complete with videos.

Young male Syrian civilians have been fighting & dying since the war started. So many young men have died in Syria that the male population has withered to nothing, and that's not from running away.

Tell you what, I'll dedicate a special thread to this in a few days, and we can chat about it more then.

Until then, thanks for the comments, they're much appreciated.

Well once again I am sorry for your loss.

Here's the problem with the war in Syria. It went from a revolution, to a religious conflict. The world saw this coming. Now the religious extremists have taken advantage of these young rebel fighters to revolt against Assad. There's no debating that Al Qaeda and ISIS have taken advantage of the Syrian rebels. That's why the Syrian rebels can't be trusted anymore. We don't know where aid is going to go if given to them. It's not the fault of innocent Syrian rebels. It's the fault of the terrorist factions who took advantage of the Arab Spring.

Ah, er, neither Israel nor the U.S. existed 5000 years ago. And they seem to be the leading death merchants of all time.
