Why on earth are you directing this to him? Overitall already told you that his stance is Pro-Choice. Going on and on with the above doesn't change his pro-choice stance and never will. Could you simply just admit that you were wrong to say that @Overitall never wrote that he was not Pro-Choice over on Debate Politics or on Political Forum?

Even Ruth Bader Ginsburg knew the day would come when a shaky Roe Decision would rightfully be returned to the states. That didn't make her suddenly Pro-life.

I am. Laws against women's health are a scourge on OB/GYN care. Plus, they necessarily deny access to abortion for women who have suffered rape and incest.

I know there are those who for various reasons would not have an abortion even if it meant sacrificing their own life - as in refusing care for certain diseases and conditions. I know there are women who would choose to carry a fetus that has serious defects.

Those decisions should be supported as best as modern medicine can.

But, using the LAW to dictate these choices or any other women's healthcare decision is just not acceptable.

Evidently, a simple thing like a winking emoji escaped the attention of WinterSun. In the post cited I wasn't saying I thought abortion was killing, but under a certain standard, brain activity, it could be. My comment on DP has to be considered in context of the full exchange for understanding, not cherry picking just to find a "gotcha" point. It can't be removed from context.

WinterSun, still won't reveal who she posted as on DP. That's more puzzling, imo, than why she misrepresented my pov.

I can’t handle talking to you very much because I literally said “I think.” I did not lie about anything said or presented. I am allowed to have opinions here. This is what this website is about. It’s about discussing opinions, and if you can’t handle my opinions and demand an apology that I’m sorry, that’s never going to happen.

 

I did read the thread more than that one post. All I’m saying is that I don’t think you’re pro choice the way I am. I have presented a ton of arguments as to why. If you don’t want to acknowledge or discuss that I don’t care, but it’s my opinion and I feel like I have a valid reason to believe what I do.

 

For the life of me, I'm not sure why she likes to twist the point of view of others. Might like yanking chains, and the drama that ensues.

 

We all have a valid reason to believe what we do. We're here to examine those reasons. I don't understand what makes you think your's is more valid than someone else's. Nor do I understand how you have concluded that I can't be pro-choice on the basis that you have a different perspective. That's a shame and possibly puts you in a closed minded framework of thinking.

A ton of reasons? Can you do me a favor and just list five of them in your next response. Also, can you also honor my request as to what user ID you posted as on DP. I really what to understand you better and believe it might help. If you have enemies from over there I can understand why you wouldn't want posters from there knowing you're posting here. You misrepresented @Overitall's point of view on womens' choice. Now that you know this, the onus remains with you to admit that you were wrong.
You've a right to your opinions. We all do. You don't have a right to write a false account of someone else's opinions. In other words, your opinions do not trump what we all know is false.

 

He is Pro-Choice. I've known @Overitall a very long time. I've never read where he said he was Pro-Life, but even if he did write that he was, so what? It's his right to be whatever he wants to be.
Know this though, do not misrepresent his view or mine wrongly again.... Do it again. See what happens.
