    Jakarta is one of the larger cities in the world with a population of over 10 million people but it is in trouble. A combination of sinking land and rising sea level means Jakarta is at danger of serious flooding, so the plan is to move the capital - 1,000 k inland

    There is also the problem of choking air pollution which is one reason why Indonesia is looking to grow its own EV industry

    This isn’t our country and not really our problem but I would like to hear what others on the forum think about the viability and sustainability of this massive project

    It's doable, but it will take years and it's unlikely to become a real, living city in our lifetimes.
