    1. FSU
    2. MSU

(they are the two undefeated's they deserve it.... but MSU struggled against the "new vandy of the conference")

    3. AU - they won due to a lack of calcium in the Ole Miss reciever....but they did win.... if they hadn't... I would have had Ole Miss here and AU out of playoff contention
    4. Oregon
    5. Bama

Those two will be the toss up.... but with AU and Bama playing yet... one is out of the way for Oregon.

My prediction who makes it to the playoffs
    1. FSU
    2. Oregon
    3. whoever wins the SEC (a race between Bama, AU and Miss state) 1 will go, but not all 3
    4. Big 10 winner. I think MSU beats OSU And I don't think TCU or Kansas win out, thus eliminating big xII from playoffs

at this point, the big question marks are.... not if the SEC gets 2 in, let alone 3/4..... but who wins the SEC for the one available spot.... and if the Big xII or big x gets that final spot

I'll wait for the season to end to choose who I think should play in the playoff. You obviously never have wanted to do so.

Well, that's why I listed a "if season ended today" ranking.... but to say the 3 current SEC teams are making the playoffs is just simply not going to happen due to the fact that they play each other still. AU and Ole Miss eliminated Ole miss. AU and Bama will eliminate one or the other. Miss state and Bama... could eliminate Bama.... may not completely eliminate MSU, but they still have Ole Miss

and the whole thing has a wrench thrown into the process if Mizzou comes in and pulls the upset and wins the SEC..... If that happens.... the only way an SEC team makes the playoffs is if it's undefeated, #1 MSU getting beat by Mizzou. The SEC champ won't go to the playoffs if it's Mizzou, but 1 loss SEC team MSU would.

If it's any other SEC team (Bama, or AU) and THEY get upset by Mizzou.... there will be no SEC team in the playoffs..... and ESPN will go bankrupt and paul Finebaum will be found at the end of a rope......

    strength of schedule

I'd put TCU ahead of Oregon despite the usual drum beating for Oregon

I would not put Oregon ahead of AU or Bama

you'd put a 1 loss bama/au over 1 loss Oregon..... I could go with that... but in the end, at least one of those teams will be eliminated for Oregon.

There is a very legit chance (perfect storm scenario) that has NO SEC TEAM in the playoffs..... if Mizzou wins the SEC (fat chance in my opinion, but LSU upset #2 UT back in 02), unless it's undefeated MSU they beat, a 2 loss SEC team won't be in the playoffs

There is a very good chance that the SEC will be out of the playoffs if they have a 2-loss champion -- no matter who it is. If FSU managed to lose a single game, then they'd be out. Of course, they don't play anybody worth a damn, so I'd say they're safe.

you keep trying to say that.... they said it last year too, and we whipped everyone we saw, including an SEC champ.

We were talking about it today at work... at this point.... if Mizzou wins the SEC, the only chance the SEC has of getting a team in the playoffs is if it's an undefeated MSU they beat (who would then have 1 loss and drop from 1 to 4)

any of the other SEC teams gets to the SEC championships (AU, Bama) and they lose to Mizzou (or any team from the East that gets there).... no team from the SEC goes.

Mizzou could fawk things up for sure. I won't bet on it, but stranger things have happened

Watch out for Florida. One loss, and FSU's little Cinderella story is over.

that's what they said about AU last year....

Florida.... holy crap.... gaytor fans thinking the are back. And think they won because they started harris. Harris handed the ball off 40+ times.... he did nothing that Driskell couldn't have done.

Florida is not a good football team. I'll LMAO if they beat FSU. It could happen.

I'm sure you will.... get in line to start bashing me over it though...... I won't be able to post on fb ever again if they lose to UF this year.

I just chuckle at them thinking a 1 dimentional team can beat us.

I mean, stranger things have happened.... and a key injury or two over the next few games could prove catostrophic.....

I don't see a dominant team out there like there has been for the past several years. Notre Dame whipped FSU in Tallahassee except on the scoreboard (great game). FSU is mediocre.

Lowly Arizona (my team) beat hell out of Oregon in Oregon for the 2nd year in a row, so you KNOW the Ducks can be beat and the probably will lose one more time.

I'm still pickin' the Tide at the end.

This was far from the best team that Nick Saban has put on the field at Alabama since he's been there, but they're getting better every week. Alabama has their defensive edge back now. That's something that they were missing last year. Last year's team had a very good offense, but the defensive backfield was a little weak -- especially after Sunseri was injured. If they're any good this year, then they'll have to prove it by playing LSU, MSU and Auburn.

Arkansas has been irrelevant in the SEC for a while, but you know, deep down, that you're glad that FSU doesn't have to play them. Too bad they have to play Florida though. The Semenholes are on upset alert. ;)

I've always liked the 'Noles brand of ball. They usually just out-fast and out-quick everybody.

how does Driskell affect anything when all the qb is to do hand the ball off. I could have played qb and won if that's all I had to do.

living in the past is bragging about 3/4 titles when we are the current holder of it. Until someone beats us.... we are the defending national champs.....

The SEC likes to continue counting one good teams in their list of tough schedule. like UF, LSU, SC, GA, UT.... and I can go on and on for anyone not from the state of alabama
