    I wish I could post the whole article here, but it really is a touching story of love and forgiveness. It’s a testament to how far we’ve progressed as a society when a “crazy punk rock” girl in the 80s who was using drugs can progress past things like race, sexual orientation, infidelity, and even a devastating lifestyle illness in order to remain with the man of her dreams. That’s the power of love.

    The couple is now “happier than ever”. This story is proof that even if your significant other gives you AIDS from his secret homosexual lifestyle, your life could still be better than ever if you just have love and forgiveness in your heart.

    I think Mrs. Aimes was being a tad reactionary when she was surprised to learn her husband had been sleeping with other men. After all, “it’s not uncommon” for men to visit gay bath houses when they aren’t getting enough attention at home. Was she right to blame herself, though? I guess it doesn’t matter. This (AIDS) ended up being a gift to this brave couple and they are now happier than ever.

    And they say happy endings only exist in Disney films!

    Who cares? Human relationships are complex. People decide to stay together for all sorts of reasons. It may not be my cup of tea, but if it works for them and isn't harming anyone else, then shrug.

    I understand that social conservatives are nosy busybodies who presume to judge/shame people that don't act exactly like themselves. But unless it is negatively affecting someone else, I think "you do you" should be most people's attitude.

    They might be waiting for their talking points on how this Straight man apparently can choose to be Gay or Straight depending on venue, which goes against their arguments of born a certain way and the impossibility of bodily function under the "wrong" circumstances.

    Totally dude. If people are into racemixing relationships with AIDS infected homosexuals that’s totally cool. It’s just an alternative lifestyle is all, no better or worse than any other.

    She does to me, but we'll never know for sure. Going to just go with my gut on it, usually serves me well.

    Yes it is uncommon for straight men to visit gay bath houses. Other than that more power to them, different strokes for different folks. I once went a year without sex and never considered seeking out the attention of a man. This dude has probably convinced her that it's her fault. I could be wrong but that would be my guess.

    It's their life, not yours. Butt out of it.

    And I love the way that you can't go three posts without dropping the pretense and complaining about "race-mixing". As if white males have never given their wives AIDS in this manner.

    I know it kills you, but plenty of people fall in love with a PERSON, not a skin color.
