I mean do you crawl inside the pack and seal it from the inside?

You might need to ask the government of Indiana that question.

Indiana guns: Favorite of Chicago gangbangers - http://wgntv.com/2014/09/03/indiana-guns-favorite-of-chicago-gangbangers/

"In six years, 3,824 guns taken off Chicago gangbangers that were used in crimes came from our next door neighbor: Indiana."

Being in a militia is not a requirement or a prerequisite for exercising "the right to keep and bear arms."

Once you understand that little fact, the 2nd Amendment will finally make sense to you.

If Indiana's lax gun laws are the reason for Chicago's high gun crime, then why doesn't Indiana have the same gun crime problem???

    Inquiring minds want to know.

Is it time for a National Voter Identification (NVI) Card?

Illinois has twice the population of Indiana which is why statistical comparisons are always done on a per-capita basis.

I don't believe the 2nd amendment is required to preserve your right to own a firearm to protect your self and home. The 1st and 4th should cover that.

I should cite the 4th Amendment if I were to be set upon by the criminals? I don't think they'll care much... would rather keep my gun.

    Hell no.

Aside from the fact that it basically be a Judenstern for firearms owners it would clearly be impossible for the same reasons why we cant have voter ID laws or a national ID program.

    Sorry, no deal.

That's because it's on a state level. The feds aren't allowed to do such a thing without a constitutional amendment.

Heller, Guys, incorporated the 2dA. SCOTUS has the final say at federal and state levels now.

What guys like ML or reality think are inconsequential to the nature of the discussion.

Heller affirmed that the 2nd Amendment is an individual right.

That still doesn't answer my question. Nothing in there states that the government will be registering said firearm with that individual. So what is preventing people from simply selling or giving the firearm to another person. without going through the FOID card number process? If the firearm is later used in a crime there is nothing linking the firearm back to anyone.....unless the firearm was reported stolen.

Did you even read the source article because your so-called "gun registry" issue is clearly addressed in the article. Secondly, according to your logic issuing Social Security cards to every American would be an impossible task as well yet they exist.

This violates the constitution in the same way as it would if applied to the right to have an abortion and the right to go to church.
