    FALSE! What could be considered Marxism has "worked" very well in the United States for most of the past 95 years, when taxes on the top income bracket were never less that 70%, and were as high as 94%, including 14 straight years when they were 91-92% during the Truman/Eisenhower/Kennedy years. These high taxation years were also correlated with America's best job growth and GDP growth. It also worked when Clinton raised taxes on the rich considerably, and had 8 years of excellent GDP and job growth.

    Why do you have a problem with people keeping more of what they earn compared to giving it to government?

    Sorry, but the FACTS of economic HISTORY in the USA prove you wrong. Click the links to see that when taxes on the top brackets were 75-80%, we had the best job growth and GDP growth. When they were low (28-31% Reagan/Bush years) our GDP and job growth was very low. FACT, not opinion.

    As for people keeping what they earn how about the guy who works his butt off and gets minimum wage or barely above it. He never gets what HE earns, now does he ? It would be nice if he could even get it to begin with, and then keep it, no ?

    Communism (at least the economic part) and Americanism have never been automatically separated from each other. Americanism may best be described as government of, by, and for the people. Today in 2012, that includes some degrees of Marxism as verified by a litany of polls, all showing Americans heavily favoring tax raises on the top tax bracket. (which is really nothing more than a return to normal American taxation on that bracket - 70%+) :-D
