People down by me are selling property over 100% higher than appraisals right now. That seems a lot more than a little. I guarantee nothing comes of this. It’s also not shocking that democrats are trying to suck the IRS on their political adversaries

100% is only twice as much.
Also they are not claiming it's value is double in order to obtain a loan. If someone buys it for that price then good for them.

Yes, it is. Even if it wasn't, it is very relevant to the dishonesty of Humpty Trumpty and his Kin.

It took quite a while to take down criminals of the past too…in fact, 7 years is how long Capone reigned as a crime boss before Alcatraz welcomed him to its bosom…and they got him for tax crimes too…!

Your hero is likely to be charged for tax evasion, given that the AG is passing on her evidence to the IRS…just as Alfonso was…

Well, that would require you to find someone else guilty of fraud, tax evasion, grand larceny, espionage violation, insurrection, election tampering, sexual assault……..have I left any out…?

Well, if the dems ever support a seditious traitor like trump after he tries to overturn an election and they continue to pander to his big lie about it, then I will be the first to condemn that person.

That's all this is. This is nothing but a vindetta designed to punish Trump for winning the 2016 election. This doesn't one ******n thing to do with justice, or law enforcement.

47 people in Minnesota who are connected to Ilhan Omar were busted for stealing $250,000 of COVID money. You think anyone is going to ask Omar any questions? Why hell ****in no they aren't.

And since this is civil, the jury can infer guilt/liability from his 440+ invocations of his 5th Amendment right during his deposition. Opening and closing statements are gonna be epic! EbxJ9.gif

    Trump Claimed Mar-A-Lago Was Worth 739M; It's Worth 75M

According to the lawsuit, Trump once valued Mar-a-Lago as high as $739 million. In reality, the lawsuit said, the club generated annual revenues of less than $25 million and should have been valued close to $75 million — about a tenth of Trump's valuation.

My favorite detail in the suit is the allegation that Trump claimed his apartment at Trump Tower spanned more than 30,000 square feet and was worth $327 million, far more than any New York apartment has ever been sold for. In reality, James said, the apartment covers just under 11,000 square feet.

For that matter, why would he claim that a group of rent-stabilized apartments he owned were worth 65 times their actual value, according to James? Why would he claim his tower at 40 Wall Street was worth $524 million, when a contemporaneous professional appraisal set its value at roughly $200 million?

She rattled off statistics to highlight the breadth of the three-year investigation: interviews with over 65 witnesses; millions of documents; a complaint more than 200 pages long, with examples from more than 23 assets. Her office found over 200 false valuations, she said, calling it evidence of a scheme that she characterized as “astounding.”

    Trumps From Doing Business Here
The New York attorney general, Letitia James, accused the former president and his business of overvaluing his assets by billions.

James’s office does not have the power to file criminal charges in this case. But she said she had referred the findings to federal prosecutors in Manhattan and the Internal Revenue Service.

She is seeking an order compelling the defendants to forfeit $250 million, the amount the lawsuit said the defendants had collected through “repeated and persistent fraudulent practices.”
