New York City implementing curfew at 4 asylum seeker shelters in response to community complaints

New York City has immigrantation shelters filled with the least likely people in America to commit crimes and for some reason the people in New York City hate brown people. They keep complaining about increased crime and panhandling from these brown people despite them not committing any crimes.

Starting tomorrow there will be a curfew in effect for these migrants to try keep them off the streets at night in a clearly racist move designed to prevent them from doing their shopping when coming home from their third job. I'm not sure what New York City is thinking. Who is going to pick Jerry Nadler's fruit if they keep treating these law abiding asylum seekers like they're criminals? Our crops are going to rot in the ground and he's going to have to pay more for his cotton. I expect to see him protesting outside the mayor's house tomorrow.

They were, but how many hotel rooms do you think are available in NYC? Abbott could send them to California, but we all saw how Newsom whined and cried about that. He's the guy who bought homeless people bus tickets to Vegas, he didn't want them there either.

There's times I'm never sure if you're joking or not - but assuming you're being honest, how long do you think these hotels will stay at a four-star rating with all the illegals there?

I say this because one of the maintenance guys working in my district has a side-hustle repairing houses and buildings and suchlike - he was in my block ten-ish years ago when one of my neighbors drunkenly drove his car into the side of his garage and the thing was slowly buckling until his crew somehow managed to fix it - don't ask me how though.

Thing is, we have illegals getting housing vouchers and ending up in local hotels and the like - and one of his jobs is repairing the damage these guys do - and apparently, it goes above and beyond the normal wear-and-tear you'd expect. Holes punched in the walls, toilets and sinks getting smashed in - I dunno why this story stands out to me but he once mentioned a soccer ball stashed away inside a swamp cooler. Oh, I do remember him telling me about a toilet simply missing - I guess they actually stole the toilet. I'm trying to picture a bunch of people walking out of a hotel room at night clutching a toilet, much less wondering where they're gonna take it.

 

Since it is a curfew that applies to people at 4 specific shelters, I assume they will enforce it by not allowing people in after 11 pm

So? Let's do the math:
1,900 = 1/100th of 1% of 19,034,000
*Can there be any doubt that this curfew will be a total gamechanger which will solve the "immigrant crisis" overnight?

Maybe an armband so we can keep track of them in public? It's only a small number of people (despite them looking at expanding it), so what's the big deal?

And the extreme left is suddenly perfectly okay with that. What a difference an extremely small dose of the porous border has made on liberals has had in such a short period of time. What other ethnic and minority groups are we looking to treat this way? Pick another brown group of people while you're at it. They're not the only group of people in America who commit crimes, are they? Why stop here? Very curious who else we should treat like this? How about all the brown people living in public housing? It's a small number of people living in NYC after all...

Remember when they were just refugees and undocumented immigrants? By labeling them asylum seekers, the left - who hates labels - gave them a label that also comes with free entry to this country, cell phones, cash, hotels, food, medical care, schooling and flights around the country. We did it Joe!

There's a difference between wanting to secure our border and wanting to treat people within our borders like they aren't animals. Why do you think it's acceptable to initiate catch and release at the border only to treat the released migrants like this? Is the goal of the far left to allow 50 million additional people to enter this year so they can support violating the rights of more people? Didn't the asylees in NYC satiate that thirst? Sorry, this isn't the 1800s anymore. We see people's true colors come out when responding to a crisis. Adams failed this test. The solution to retail theft is to arrest and prosecute people, not to violate an entire group of people's rights because some people in that group are engaging in illegal behavior. But NYC won't do that because they're allergic to prosecuting most crimes. They made a conscious choice to allow people to engage in retail theft. If that's their choice, they have to live with it rather than violate the rights of others.
