I already said, we have to police those areas to make sure they are crime free

The country is something like 57% white, 11% black, and 20% Hispanic. Do you think those three population groupings are found in those exact same % in high-crime neighborhoods across the country, or are some of them over-represented there and others under-represented in high-crime neighborhoods?

Perhaps you don't understand what "over-represented" means. If a group is 12% of the general population, but 50% of the homeless population, they are overwhelmingly over-represented in the homeless population.

if you have a 100 white homeless and 100 black homeless, that is an equal distribution of the homeless population - thus they are equally represented in the homeless population

 

No, it's not all that matters, because the Al Sharptons of the world consider anything that has a "disparate impact" to be 'racist'. So, if 13% of the population is black, but 50% of homeless criminal arrests are black, Al Sharpton and the race-hustlers will complain that enforcing our laws against homeless people is 'racist' because it's having a 'disparate impact' on blacks.

Then I guess I am not rational, as I see 50% whites and 50% blacks as being an even distribution of the homeless between the two races

now I am sure there are some areas where there are more whites and some areas where there are more blacks, sure

 

I'm all for it. The problems started when the opposite happened years ago....millions of mentally ill were "freed" and started living on the street.

I think however....that many " mentally ill" are actually druggie on a high.

 

I'm suggesting NY round em up and bus em to Florida and Texas (flying too expensive)...

More mentally ill down there will barely make a dent...

Japan?! They work like a dog over there and live in tiny capsules, which is not something I would idolize. Plus, their economy lost decade after decade with low growth.

Greece is at the other end of the spectrum, coming from laziness, but with years of forced austerity making them poor.

The grass is pretty green in Switzerland, but it seems you didn't get the point. Why do other civilized nations have much less homeless.
