Hey I put at the end of the OP, "I sure hope it is an April fools joke" The reason I posted it though was because of all of the idiotic things said and tried by the lefty loons of NY. My BS detector works fine, I am not frothing at the mouth, I am calm....I'm just following where the history of those nuts leads me.

Interesting how you have no idea where I work but seem to know how the company is run. Some people who run companies have standards and morals, obviously your experience is that the almighty $ trumps all morality. There is no product that the company uses that is not available outside of NY. There might be some cleaning supplies or some other low level item that is manufactured in NY and is distributed through a company outside of NY, so some things might slip through. But no items that go into the company's products are from NY companies. The company has a 401k but all it does is make contributions, each employee has complete control and freedom over his/her investments including the ability to transfer the contributions into their personal IRA. The ERISA administrator used to be a NY company, but not anymore.
I spend a lot of time in New York and have lived in California for fifty years. We are happy to never have people like you visit. Thanks, and tell all of your like minded friends to stay away too.

But to make it fair, you should agree to stay in California no matter how bad it gets, and to never move to a freer conservative state like so many of your former Californians unless you totally abandon your failed politics. That should be no problem for me, I don't have a need to visit the peoples republic of New Your or California. I don't think us going there is the problem though, it's more the opposite, the two left coasts consume all the resources in their area and then migrate to other states to start the whole process again.
I have a friend that is moving out of up state NY. He is absolutely terrified to haul his hunting rifles down here.
Why ? it is completely legal to do so, or he can send them to himself via Fedex or United Parcel Service for facility pickup, signature verification requested.
It may be legal, but that wont stop the police from confiscating long enough to run numbers and put you through hell. He already got "busted" for having a loaded rifle in his car during hunting season. Out on hunt his gun jambed and couldn't clear it, was on his way home and got pulled over. Cited for having a loaded gun in the truck. Even though in reality it was a spent shell that would not clear.
