I hate the gesture. I think it's misguided and I find it very offensive. That being said, they are just a bunch of entertainers who aren't hurting anyone. I don't like it, but there it is.

Now, if you voted for or support donald trump, then do NOT for one hot SECOND pretend like you give a CRAP about this country or any insults to it or any of it's symbols except when it's convenient.

You freely and enthusiastically took a child who has repeatedly given the finger to the armed forces and this country, who even more repeatedly has shown himself to be 100% too stupid and incompetent to run a 7-11, who displays every weakness possible, the original snowflake millennial and decided to put him at the HEAD of the greatest most powerful country the planet has ever seen. Every day he is in office every one of you is wiping your ass with every symbol of this country.

And why did you do it? To piss off isis? hitler? Nope, you did it to piss off Americans, and/or, because you are such a wuss, that your mommy issues surrounding clinton overpowered any respect you have for this country. Or, possibly because you are a white nationalist or nazi or whatever and therefore just hate this country.

So, if you voted for or support trump, and pretend you are offended by taking a knee, quit lying to yourself and everyone around you. You don't really like this country.

They don't know the difference between fact and fiction? Anything they don't like is fake news?

No, they are just bad people. America has turned into trailer trash incapable of thoughts more complex than Trump's latest tweet.

America is becoming evil. That's why God is punishing them.

If michael moore or che guevara suffered a massive brain injury and the liberals then elected them president, then you might have a point. As it stands, they aren't the problem right now.

Trump is 1 million times closer to the American political center than Michael Moore or Che Guevara. They are (were) far outside the political mainstream.

You can thank trump. This is another example of how he's has either turned or exposed those on the right. The massive moral and intellectual weakness you sissies have embraced. This is like the worst team in the nfl constantly blaming espn for the fact that they are terrible. Suddenly, the right is all about shaking off any personal responsibility. No matter how incompetent you are, no matter how badly you do anything, just point the finger. "It's not my fault" sniff "it's the fault of the generals or the people who let you know how terrible I am." "If only they wouldn't keep reminding us how incredibly stupid it was to elect this anti-American idiot, everything would be ok. I need my breitbart fox news safe space!! You're triggering me."

Take some responsibility for yourself man, quit being such a wuss. Face reality. The right is clearly not the party of patriotism, at least not anymore. It's the party of anti-Americanism and weakness.

You obviously have no idea who trump is and therefore why voters support trump

But the issue is unpatriotic morons in football uniforms showing disrespect to the US flag and the nation it represents

And trump voters have no less right to be offended by theplayers kneeling than you are

I thought this was going to be about kneeling, not Trump. Trump has little to do with whether some choose to kneel. He may be their excuse, but he is not the heart and spirit of this country. We the People are. It seems to me that they have every right to ignore the flag and anthem. Some of their relatives fought as Tuskegee Airmen in WWII, under worse oppression and racism than happens today.

I also have rights. I reserve the right to watch and purchase products that do not denigrate the country I love. I reserve the right to respect those men and women of any color who respect the same. There are proper ways of attempting change. Hitler did similarly with Germany, forcing change through the brainwashing of those whom, "didn't know what they were missing". Sure, they were out to get rid of the Jewish segment of society, blaming almost all evils on them.

What is different about blaming one party, one segment of the population no matter how large of a percentage, and amassing violent protests to deny the rights of others? I'm not sure anything is different?

Exactly what sort of inside information do you have on this? I told you why, mommy issues, hatred for America, or hatred for the military.

Yes they do. You can't take a massive crap on something then pretend you are upset when someone smears some dirt on it. You can't vote for or support trump and still be a patriot.

What's more important? The presidency or football players? You can't pretend to be offended by the less important problem if you were instrumental in creating the more important.

You have the right to do whatever you want, but if you voted for trump, then pretend you love this country you are lying to yourself and everyone else.

Look you can blame a segment of the population when they are the problem. Protesting against something terrible is not nazism, claiming it is is making excuses and retreating to a safe space.

Peaceful protest is their right. I have no quarrel with them for exercising their right. I do not have to agree with it.

The comparison to Nazism is more about those who gather in violent protest. They are quite similar.

The folks kneeling are in support of their ideals and seemingly also their methods.

My post has more to do with the topic than Trump. Trump can only serve a maximum of eight years. This isn't about Trump or rights. It's about legislating love of your neighbor, not matter who they are. Feelings cannot be legislated. Charity(neighborly love in action) can not be legislated.

I made a mistake posting in this thread. It's not going to solve anything. Neither will the hate I read.

I have no idea what "mommy issues" means

But trump does not hate America and neither do trump voters

Nor does he hate the military and the military does not hate trump

Of course I hate trump, because I love this country. A few individuals getting violent is nothing new on any issue. Nazis came to power more through legislation than violent protest. It's true trump can only serve eight years, but we have a population so spiteful and disrespectful to this country that they elected him. That is the problem.

The topic by the way is if you are offended by taking a knee, and you support trump, then reexamine your life and thoughts and everything about you because you are wrong.

    Yes you do.

He absolutely does hate them both, or at the very least has less respect for them than he does for putin or his name brand. I would say and for himself, but I suspect he hates himself as much as anyone does.

I disagree with the premise that one who voted for Trump is going to reject those who protest by taking a knee during the national anthem at work.

I think it is more about rights and freedoms, which I don't think Trump has attempted to change. It's really other branches of the government who must allow and agree with any bill, before it can be made law.

I agree that through a loophole, Hitler was able to become chancellor. There were protests and demonstrations prior to that event, which are very similar today.

Hating someone is like taking poison and expecting someone else to die.

Fortunately, I do not hate them. Otherwise, I'd be violently protesting and attempting to shut down the opinions of others, as they are want to do anywhere they feel their ideas are threatened.
