No, a reporter didn't call White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany a "lying b**ch" at Tuesday's White House press briefing.
This is a story that illustrates how quick some factions of the country are to jump to conclusions in order to vilify members of the press.
On Tuesday, some Twitter users accused Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett of muttering on a hot mic that McEnany is a "lying b**ch." That simply wasn't true. As Halkett wrote in a tweet, she actually told McEnany, after an exchange, "Okay, you don't want to engage."
If you listen to the audio, it's clear that is what she said. And the White House's official transcript of the press briefing later quoted her saying that.
The Twitter controversy, however, made its way to Fox News' highest-rated shows. Tucker Carlson ran with the story, saying, "Did she swear at the White House press secretary? We don't know."

    Wow.

Fox News (and Trump's Online Army) ending up with egg on their face and eating some major crow.

Whenever this sort of (obviously) fabricated, unsubstantiated, "story" (like this) appears:

You would think that a Major News Network would make some effort to verify the "narrative" before running with it.

Immediately, as soon as I saw this (obviously fabricated) "story" (29 minutes after it was posted at PF), I called BS.

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ecretary-a-lying-b-ch.575735/#post-1071886485

In fact, that entire thread might be a showcase poster child for "threads that didn't age well".

Some of the comments are Priceless:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...er-calls-press-secretary-a-lying-b-ch.575735/.

Why do you think that Fox (and so many others) ran with a FAKE "story"?

That’s the way trump supporters are. The truth doesn’t make trump look good. It makes him look weak and pathetic and the opposite of a leader, so the make up lies to try to help him.

Simple, they have argued in court they are not obligated to tell the truth. They are a cable broadcast and can make up anything they want. Citation of one example

I remember when they were raging about the Paris "no go zones" and they would posts scenes of districts in complete chaos. You would have people streaming simultaneously in the same districts restaurants packed people enjoying themselves on patios, tourist taking pictures, etc.

They have a specific audience that is easily to manipulate. Their commercials are targeted for a frenzied group worried about finances and US stability. Its always some buy precious medal/bonds scheme. It's in their best interest to make sure the chaos looks worse than it is.

To sum it all up, it's about money. You can gain a great deal of wealth out of stupid people in large groups.

It is yet another demonstration that the only “fake news” emanates from the White House and Fox News.

    Huh?

Are you telling me that you consider this statement (from the Official WH Transcript) to be "vile":

"Okay, you don't want to engage."

    ^How is that "vile"?

So reporters are allowed to call women names as long as they work for the Trump administration? Sad.

Covington Kids. "Fine people". "All Mexicans are rapists"

All of those (and many more) were lies spread by the likes of CNN, NYTimes, WAPO, and MSNBC. Yet you say that "the only fake news” emanates from the White House and Fox News."? What a joke. Let me guess, you still believe those lies too don't you?

As we can see in this thread, the Fox News method works perfectly well: Spread "news" to incite culture wars. When the "news" is later found out out be fake, it has already been cemented in the minds of Fox viewers as reality. Mission accomplished.

Why else would Fox viewers in this thread continue to claim that the reporter said those vile things, even when presented with the real quote? Because they live in the Fox disinformation bubble, which cannot be penetrated. They LIKE assuming the worst of the political opposition. That's what brings them back to watch Fox News every day, giving Fox News their viewership and revenue.

You think the Whitehouse is lying to try to cover up for an Al Jazeera journalist accused of abusing the Whitehouse Press Secretary by Fox News?

And, speaking of Al Jazeera's Kimberly Halkett:

Unfounded (completely baseless) claims were being made that the reporter was Paula Reid from CBS News:

    http://www.politicalforum.com/index...ecretary-a-lying-b-ch.575735/#post-1071886414

    Disinformation On TOP Of Disinformation...:smh:

Hopefully, this Utter EMBARRASSMENT For Fox News...
(That has put any remaining credibility that Fox "News" (and Tucker Carlson) had--Completely into the Toilet)...

...Can serve as a "Teachable Moment" for those who RUSH to spread disinformation (without thoroughly vetting it).

Of course, we can expect a daily barrage of this all the way until the Election.

And, most of it will be originating from places like Faux News...
...as well various Online Extreme RW "News" Sites.

    And, also, of course:
We can expect many more of these sort of FAKE Stories (being pushed by Trump and the RW) to "find their way" to PF. :flagus:
