That disgusting witch is truly determined to do as much damage as she possibly can. Anyone with an intellectual level above a complete imbecile knows it.

Of course the damage to the economy would be enormous.

So what made it possible? My answer is fundamental faults with electoral democracy. So far electoral democracy delivered us a parliament with the majority of human haters and prostitutes(independents).

So what exactly is wrong with the electoral democracy? I have identified the following:

    1. Absolute lack of responsibility for politicians
    2. The most expensive and inefficient system

Let me explain the latter. I have conducted a brief study and found that there is a direct relationship between the level of democracy and the level of taxation. The more democratic a system of government is the higher are the taxes. Why is that happens?

Because a party with any hope for forming a democratically elected government needs a large enough support group. In case of labor this group is "donots" and in case of greens this group is people with low mean IQ. Let me expand on that.

Donots are people who do not contribute to wealth creation of the nation. Unemployed and government bureaucrats are the main "striking force" of labor. People who deep down realize that they are superfluous parasites which motivates their hatred towards "the rich" or rather people who create wealth and consequently support these parasites.

The situation with greens is even worse, their support group are either people with low level of intelligence or mental disorders. Both groups are extremely numerous which explains growing support base for green policies.

On the other hand wealth creation requires intelligence, personal responsibility and discipline. These qualities aren't that common which ensures that these group is most often a minority.

Therefore under a regular electoral democracy, parasites and idiots form the majority. Governments that draw their support from parasites and idiots are doing whatever they can in order to increase numbers of these groups, hence continuous degradation of education, refugees and ever expanding army of bureaucrats. In order to support these groups governments must spent heavily and consequently tax "dos" as much as they can.

This takes as to the second problem with electoral democracy, an absolute lack of responsibility for politicians. Politicians know that whatever they do to harm the nation no punishment will ever be brought on to them. No, not being reelected is not a punishment.

Consequently we end up with the system run by representatives of idiots and parasites for the benefit of crooks who have an absolute immunity from prosecution.

Carbon and mining taxes are a direct result of this system.

First let me say that I’m all for foreign companies who come to Australia to dig up her wealth and get filthy rich in the process paying a mining tax.

If it where up to me I would boot Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton and the like out of our country and do the mining ourselves that way not 40% but 100% of the profits could go back into our nation things like schools, hospitals roads yadiyadiyaya.

Now about miss wichy poo Ju-Liar Gillard yes I agree with you there, how can a minority government come in and pass things like the carbon and mining taxes, hell if anything she should be running the country till the next election and not doing anything more.

She was not elected with any kind of mandate to turn our lives inside out, especially with the carbon tax which she promised on national television not to introduce, now how can you trust someone who lies right in your face and then turns around and does the opposite thing.

She should be held accountable for her actions not only Julia but all parliamentarians.

How about we take away their pension once they are done in parliament, I bet more than half those jokers would have voted NO to the carbon tax if that was the case.

So basically, anyone who doesn't vote the same way as you is an idiot (or mentally retarded) and their vote shouldn't count.

You want to limit voting to... (and I really like this part) only people who vote conservative, because everyone else is obviously stupid.

What are you talking about "punishment"? Punishment for what? We have a strong economy, low unemployment and excellent standard of living. She hasn't done anything illegal, she has not even done anything "damaging".

You want to what, send a lynch mob after any politician who tries to raise taxes?

All of this is just your own, frankly quite stupid, opinion.

So if/when the Coalition is voted in, we can be sure that they were voted in by the "moronic" majority who are just stupid, mentally retarded parasites; can we? How comforting.

Congratulations! Yours is the stupidest post I've read on this forum for quite awhile (and you're up against some pretty strong competition).

    Have a cookie.

So - you agree with the mining tax

You simply don't like the government that the people elected.

Yes - and what is worse is that they are rich, well-educated people with "low level of intelligence or mental disorders".

    They're the worst type

The richest voters in Australia he says are not Liberals but Greens...field of study, they're defined by what they studied, and it was creative arts, your conventional arts degrees, both male and female. And then it gets quite interesting: females in their mid 40s with no kids, female professionals. Religion: other. They're atheists, agnostics, there's no religious faith there. And then you've got other age groups, female age groups, in their 50s with no kids. And then you've got graduates in society and culture type courses. Then you've got 40-year-old women with no kids. Then you've got male professionals, people who work in arts and recreation. Field of study: architecture and building, that's another one. Field of study: eduction, industry education.

So you've got arts type graduates working in education, you've got professionals and overwhelmingly you've got no kids. And then you get down into the country of birth, green voters are overwhelmingly born in other countries, they're internationally qualified, people born in the USA or Canada or Singapore, what have you. It would be no surprise to me, sitting in the senate listening to Norm Sanders. Basically they're an internationally qualified group.

I wonder at what point does a minority government become a complete f**n joke. It looks like its now more about backroom deals which we never find out about, and the greater the minority shareholders of government the worse it gets.

The ALP learns its tactics in the union bullying, and its corruption and politics which is the culture of the ALP, wheras the culture of the Liberal Party is policies and fiscal management.

So the ALP loves this sort of minority government arrangement because they can use their union skills to corrupt policy and plans to serve their political agendas. Transperancy is flying out the window I bet. Another example of course was the first mainland town to be connected to the NBN was a show for Windsor's electorate. Get Up can go jump, we need a Wake Up to the ALP bs.

You provide an opinion piece to support your rebuttal, LOL, I would have thought you could actually provide a far better source than that. So is it possible the OP is correct.

Sure he debases the Gillard supportive with language manipulation, However, what is the support base for the Labor party? The Unions. What is it the Unions produce? nothing. What is the majority of jobs all these taxes going to create? Bureaucracy.

So now could you please provide better? I am sure there is better. I find it funny that this could even get so far without, firm rebuttal.

Errr...at least I provided a source that others may agree with or not as is their want.

That makes me 1-0 over the OP.

BHP and RIO are owned by their shareholders many of whom are Australians. BHP and RIO are the worlds most efficient miners and other companies that can do as good a job as them are rapidly (and very well deserving) grow their capitalisation.
Australian government (irrespective of its political orientation) would fail miserably were they attempt to organize something as complex as a mining project, let alone the entire mining industry.

But the most important point is, government accepted no risk at the early stages of these mining projects, so its claim on profits which are fair and reasonable reward for the risks taken is simply outrageous.

If government was to approach it fairly then it should have purchased 40% of shares of the mining companies on incorporation. This way it would be both fair and reasonable as it will also stimulate development of mining projects.

I agree wholeheartedly, in fact I don't see how politicians are any better than directors of public companies, who are fully accountable for their decisions. All that needs to be done is for certain sections of the Corporations Act 2001 to be applicable to politicians. So every candidate runs for elections with a proper disclosure document and in case of blatant disparity of their policies with this document, they should be charged with deceptive and misleading conduct and acting in bad faith etc.
These by the way are offenses of strict liability (prison term).

I don't vote at all. I choose to cope $55 fine rather than participate in this circus.

I don't support liberals at all.

My personal observation however is that green voters are people who are not in abundant possession of common sense and formal logic, let alone any real life experience.

Thank you for the most interesting quote.

    Let us analyze it closely.

    • Women with no kids, often the sign of sexual perversions, promiscuity and generally failure to build and maintain relationships...
    • No religion (after us the flood) types.
    • Cosmopolitan travelers who couldn't care less about future of this country.
    • "Professional do nothings" arty - professory types fundamentally either direct government bureaucrats or receivers of government grants etc.

    Highly upstanding crowd indeed.

Also considering green voters are so successful, would you oppose a system where votes are cast in proportion to the tax paid?

Yes I concur, but I am only saying, with the call of not providing others opinion as supporting, and I am sure there is a lot of REAL material to support you, I thought you would have gotten better.

Forgive me, It is not that I disagree entirely with the opinion piece, it is that is not exactly correct over all. Only correct to the last elections would be my claim.

    That is all.

Ofcourse i agree with the carbon tax it only makes sense diesn't it, BHP Billiton made 25 billion last financial year, why should the fat business moguels reap everything.

40% of that money can go to our government which then in turn will spend it on our country bugs.

Instead of going into some billionairs pockets FFS, makes sense doesn't it.

Hey bugs Julia Gillard was not elected by the people!

    Hi htdy

I think we have come along way from the days of the public servant having his feet stradled across the table reading the newspaper.

I recon we have enough experienced people now to do a (*)(*)(*)(*) good job.

BHP has 500,000 shareholders, if you split this profit it will be on average $50,000 per shareholder. Certainly not an excessive amount.

Also I have very serious doubts that the government is better guardians of wealth than billionaires.

Also no one cares to address the point that:
Profits in an enterprise are a fair reward for the risk taken. Therefore government should either share the risk or get its greedy hands out of people pockets!

But of course, what would a bureaucrat possibly know about risks?

All the people that are capable of doing a good job are already engaged in the industry and there is severe shortage of skilled professionals in the mining industry.

Are you proposing for this people to become government bureaucrats? I am certain they would absolutely refuse such degradation.

Hate to disappoint you, but people that are top in their profession are not interested in joining the army of parasites. Besides the countless millions of unemployed, single mothers, bureaucrats etc. are absolutely dependent on the small group that actually produces wealth. Miners will do perfectly well without bureaucrats; the reverse is not the case.

Surely people who voted for independents didn't expect their votes prostituted for the benefit of independent's private agenda?

That brings me to the necessity of reform, where a candidate would have to lodge a disclosure document outlining his policies, strategies, beliefs, values etc. And if while in the office he/she deviates from this document they should be criminally charged with deceptive and misleading conduct.

Will we have to back-date this law for John Howard's "non-core" promises?

Hey champ are you saying that thats how the profits are distributed amongst the share holders?

Now matter how much you own? well then i think i better rush out and buy myself a few thousand dollars worth, will i also get $50000.

Yeah right, ever heard of the 99% and the 1%!!!!! NEXT!

Oh my friend i recon they are, its just that billionares are so good at farking over the blokes below them.

Hey they come here they exploit our wealth and their not going to do it for free without giving back to the country they are exploiting full stop.

Even if they do hand over 40% their still making a mighty profit and wealth.

If they dont like it they can fark off! and then they will have 0% profit.

I dont like politicians either so i'm not going to defend them, especially when they sell them selves and their country to overseas interests.

Well then lets get rid of the big mining moguels and get those people working for the government yeah, wouldn't be hard to do, they will still be doing the same job under the same conditions at the same place, and guess what all the profits stay in the homeland, dude we could have streets lined with gold!

Taxes could come right down to help the workers of this land.
Everything would be dirt cheap (hell the US did it for years).
If you worked you could afford a few holdiays a year.
Just how many billions or trillions would we be collecting.

OOHHH its a wet dream isn't it?

Hell the whole world will try to come over here.

Not at all like i said i hate politicians, they would just become government employees!!!!!! nothing more heaven forbid we have enough already.

Well mayb all the foreigners that come over here to work on OUR projects but i'm sure aussies wouldn't mind in the least.

Especially if it injects a few trillion into our economy?

But alas we have traitors at the helm and this would never come to fruition.

    OK back to dreaming.
