Never mind the fact no one can show how the laws the AMA would like to see can be enforced or have the intended effect. Except one: The AMA wants to see mandatory gun "safe storage" laws which can only be enforced after the fact -- and violate the constitution.
The AMA does not need to consider the constitution. They consider public health. The courts can deal with the constitutional issues
