Most of you probably know I'm pro-vax and pro-mask and that I cant ****ing stand anti-maskers and people who spread COVID lies and myths and misinformation and other forms of Qtard bullshit. But I'm also not a prog so I don't have to hide my head when bullshit pops up on the other side of the spectrum - I can call it out, hence this thread.

This is so typical, so very very very typical of this two-tiered America that leftist have created. As if we needed another example of how these Marxist elitists and their celebutard tools live by one set of rules while the rest of us get another, but just read the quotes. Its ok to fire cops in the middle of a left-wing induced crime spree but we need to make sure every last knuckle dragging thug gets to throw a basketball around because that has "a real impact" on the city.

The pro-vaxx political agenda is where the problems come form. The pro-vaxx health agenda, which is sadly far too intertwined with the political agenda, just wants a healthy strong country. The pro-mask political agenda has its problems as well. Such as when the White House orders the CDC to change masking guidance based on Presidential approval numbers and not statistics or scientific truth, or when politicians push masks (as they should) but then get busted not wearing them and try to lie their way out of it. Politics distorts almost everything it touches.

That was my opinion when we had hopes that vaccinations could prevent spreading. I was strongly in favor of mandated vaccines and punishments for those that didn't get it. When it become obvious the vaccines couldn't prevent the spread I felt people should still do be getting them because a healthy country is a secure country. But now that corrupt politicians are carving out exemptions for their peer-elites I just cant support mandates anymore. If we establish rules for the public good then we cant give exemptions based on donor status or, the number of twitter followers, or the ability to haul a ball around.

 

There isn't a "health agenda". There never was. The masks, lockdowns, vaccines were about excercising control over the people. The lockdowns we're also meant to damage the economy in order to get Trump voted out.

 

I am vaxxed and boosted, but seeing how it all turned out to be bullshit, it won't happen again. See how the vaxxers shot themselves in the foot with their pestering over getting vaxxed?

EXPOSURE RISKS

Athletes are around one another and coaches, managers, assistants, a few reporters, etc.. They are behind tables during press conferences so the "risk" of exposure (in either direction) is only limited to a relatively small group of people.

City employees are around thousands of people per day.

* Police officers and usually the first responders when someone calls 911 regardless if a paramedic and/or firefighters are needed. They are also trained in CPR and removing dead weight (ie. a person is unconscious in a fire) so there is no practical way to socially distance in an emergency. Sure a cop can wear gloves and a mask before responding to a call but that nullifies part of the reason for using them.

Same deal with public transportation. Bus drivers are just inches away from everyone that gets on a bus. Conductors walk train cars all day long giving, taking and punching tickets. Again, there is not way to make those exchanges hands-free or at a distance.

There is a lot more money involved in a team sport for the owners, players and the city.

Much to my chagrin, there is more public outcry if ones' favorite sports team can't play but nobody notices if the police or bus drivers aren't around because we don't usually know any of them by name. As long as a cop shows up and the buses and trains are on time, we aren't noticing that the regular person isn't there. People that follow whatever team or player are going to notice and raise hell.
