Uhm, no. Even the "natural born" clause does not state that both parents must be US citizens. One alone will suffice. Good luck to you in gaining knowledge, surely that will help some...

Doesn't matter.. If the child is born on US soil, he/she is a natural born US citizen. .. Read the Statute.. Its very straight forward.

If you have a FACTUAL SOURCE that shows WHERE the term "natural born citizen" has been clearly defined, other than the ones I provided, please do so.

Otherwise, your "opinion" and your insults and demeaning remarks are worth NOTHING.

It seems that, based on MY posts providing factual sources, as compared to your "opinions" with no link, I may have a lot more of a "clue" than you will ever have, and I will reply to posts on the topic at often and as completely as I choose.

Now. . .except for arrogance, what do YOU have to offer on the subject?

The ONLY difference between a "natural born citizen" and a "Citizen" is the fact that a natural born citizen must be a citizen since and from birth (and, obviously, meet the qualifications for this, such as being born on US soil, and/or have at least ONE parent who is/was a United States Citizen at the time of the birth, and had lived for a least 5 years after majority in the US.

If you have different information, please provide it. . .but just "giving your opinion" and negating other posters' knowledge (based on factual information) is certainly NOT convincing that YOU know much about the issue!

Apparently, YOU are "not a serious student of this issue; just a political partisan posting partisan opinion!"

There is still controversy and case law, such as United States v. Wong Kim Ark (1898 ) that decided a person born here from foreign parents and not involved as diplomats of a foreign country are citizens. Natural Born is not well defined except for what you stated does apply but birthright citizen ship such as Wong is still law.

The Constitution gives three eligibility requirements to be president: one must be 35 years of age, a resident "within the United States" for 14 years, and a "natural born Citizen," a term not defined in the Constitution.

    Amazing! For ONCE we agree!

I hope you noticed that my previews comment (which basically said the same thing you just did in less details) was in answer to someone else who had a very different idea.
