Crime statistics agree with my "dogma". States with more gun control have higher crime rates. States that are less restrictive, see lower crime rates. I apparently have to remind you that the two most crime ridden cities in the U.S. were Chicago and D.C. when they had their gun bans in place. They both saw crime rates go down when the bans were overturned. You have to pull your nose out of your books once in a while, and see what is really happening.

You have to open your eyes. Research media outlets other than MSNBC, CNN and network TV.

    Okay.

Which media outlets would contain the stories of the proposed legislation the president has put forth in regards to restricting the 2nd amendment rights of Americans? Or which media outlet would link me to his statements as president about seeking greater gun control?

The pro-gunning dogma ensures a subjectivity characterised by ignoring empirical evidence. Its of course imperative that the available research is ignored. Its a slippery slope towards objectivity otherwise

Some raw data agrees with your dogma, some raw data doesn't. Anyone bothered about the 'real world' will know that it doesn't matter. Spurious relationship is useless.

Why do you rely on such obvious fibs? The available evidence shows that more restrictive gun control reduces death rates

FOX News, GOA, NRA Media, CBS, USA Today, etc.

Even the Huffington Post acknowledges Obama's anti-gun history, and his Administration's silence on the issue for political reasons.

Hot Air talks about Obama's silence on gun control.

    Obama's gun control history.

Its neatly demonstrated on this sub-forum. 'Pro-gun and pro-gun control' typically leads to a position based on evidence and a celebration of scholarly research. 'Gun-obsessed and anti-gun control' leads to a complete reliance on secondary sources of dubious value (being kind there!)

Do you really believe this nonsense?

It's all a bunch of hysterical hype intended to boost membership. I'm sure you're too smart to fall for this propaganda. Right?

Yawn,........ this tripe was posted here previously by another member. It was found to have falsehoods and distortions.

It's all one big load of whoowie, but what's really amazing is how many gullible followers it generates. You yourself are a good example of this. I remember how so many gullible gun owners went out and bought guns and ammo after the last election after seeing a lot of the same nonsense you posted above. Of course NONE of the fearful prophecies came to fruition.

Wake up. I suspect that this 'Chicken Little' routine the NRA is playing will eventually backfire when its members finally wise up.

The NRA is only a small segment of gun owners..It'sd silly to blame them for the ills of the gun control movement,

sigh,...... The NRA was the source of the topic in the OP AND to your own plagiarized post about "facts".

Entirely relevant and "silly" for you to try to distract from this.

you haven't been here that long. this is what reiver does. he/she will claim the evidence says this, or the evidence says that, while being an arrogant ass about it. when challenged to present the evidence, reiver will refuse. after you badger him/her long enough, you will be placed on his/her ignore list. As I have apparently been placed.

In the interest of sparing the more rational minded from the pseudo-intellectual babble of Reiver on his/her cherry picked "scholarly sources", I'll just post this link to the CDC's review of dozens of studies conducted on the effectiveness of firearms laws on violence. Not surprisingly, the words "inconclusive" and "insufficient" are frequent.
