What people have not talked about much is yes he did lie,,and tried to fix that with some sort of an apology. However if his apology was so sincere why is he continuing to lie?
They know darn well that the youth of America does not buy intangibles...[insurance], if they did not know the Ins companies would have showed them those figures, and this is why Obama gave them a cushion should they lose money...The middle class will be stuck with this entire thing, they know it, they knew that from the start.

House Speaker Boehner clearly warned everyone back in 2010 folks would lose their healthcare insurance under the new ACA law. How did he know and Obama didn't? Either Obama is a liar or he is just plain incompetent. My money says he is both a liar and incompetent. Period.

Obama is in up to his legacy with ACA and at this point it appears he is willing to say and do anything to keep it from failing. This is the same conundrum Johnson found himself in when he escalated the war in Vietnam after Kennedy was assassinated. he started lying about sending troops into Cambodia. There is no going back once the lie has been exposed. Just as Nixon found out as well.

 

Except Ohio doesn't have any senate seats up in 2014. The GOP has a few areas to look for seats, like WV, SD, IA, MT, but Ohio isn't really one of them. All in all the GOP can't really expect to pick up a majority. It'd be lucky to get 50, but in all likelihood will pick up two or three seats in the Senate at this point.

 

Boehner has made misleading statements as well, of course. What politician hasn't?

The implementation of the Affordable Care Act has obviously not been what the President or its supporters had hoped for, far from it. The media, with its penchant for hyperbole, has obsessed over initial problems that have, quite rightly, accrued to Obama's detriment. Neither those who oppose extending coverage to what has grown now to nearly 50 million Americans, nor those who are convinced that emulating the superior systems of advanced nations will miss the opportunity to push their agendas. The Pope's recently advocating healthcare for all as a manifestation of Christian morality may impact the consciences of many, certainly. Others, not at all.

Will the ACA snafus hamper the President's Middle East diplomacy or comprehensive immigration reform both of which are supported by the American public? Quite possibly. His legislative powers have been diminished. Still, most expect the glitches with nationalized WillardCare to be corrected.

I don't give a crap about the failed implementation of the ACA website. Doesn't change the fact Obama lied. That the website failed miserably only added a bit of salt to the lie.

 

The Dems knew that if they were going to get ObamaCare past the Republicans and their insurance company employers, they'd have to strip out the public option. Now THAT is history.

 

Yep, just keep an eye on those poll numbers. And why do you boys want to keep meddling in business decisions between the insurers and the insured? Are you socialists? Obama didn't cancel those policies, those were 'business' decisions involving ONLY low margin policies.

 

I have a kid. He maintains his car insurance and he's already enrolled in ObamaCare. What do you know about kids?

 

The ACA law is clear. Boehner saw that back in 2010. And the only one who can break that law and get away with it seems to be Obama. I'm sure he would have looked the other way if insurance companies wanted to ignore it. Obeying the law made Obama look bad. And who are Democrats to tell people what type of insurance they should have? Universal healthcare and now universal education. Individualism will be dead in America if Democrats have their way.

 

Those in a tizzy over the twice-popularly-elected President have been whining about his having "lied" since he acknowledged having been born in Hawaii, so one would hardly expect otherwise from them.

 

Wow! Such a contortion to avoid the very real lies of Barry Obama and his snake oil Obama Care.

Having uncovered his lie about ACA now proves he most likely has been lying about the other things as well. One proven lie is all it takes to question the others.

 

Everything, no doubt. Beginning with bogus 1961 birth announcements in Hawaiian newspapers, and reaching a disingenuous culmination with his claims of Saddam having stockpiles of WMD.
