War vets miss commander in chief George W. Bush

    Excerpts:

    1. Veterans don't fault Bush for Iraq

The Iraq war defined Bush's tenure and dragged his job approval ratings among the general public to record lows. But while half of veterans say the Iraq war was not worth fighting, 53 percent of this group see Bush as a good commander in chief. Not surprisingly, Bush is even more popular among those who say Iraq was worth the costs, with 80 percent in this group calling him a good commander in chief...

    4. Veterans' groups that support Obama are in the minority

Fifty-one percent of active-duty service members and women say Obama is a good commander in chief, but both of these groups account for a less than a quarter of all of those who served in Iraq and Afghanistan...

One of the big differences between a real CnC like Bush and an incompetent CNC like Obama, Bush's Rules of Engagement (ROE) for our troops was to kill the enemy before they killed you. while Obama' ordered liberal politically correct ROE that favored the enemy and caused American soldiers, Marines, sailors and airmen to bleed and die on the battlefield in the name of political correctness.

    FYI:
10,000 Al Qaeda fighters were killed by our coalition forces in Iraq during the Bush administration.

Correction: Fascism accomplished much for Europe. Italy and Germany were down in the dumps, both nations needed a vast economic correction and both Heads of State went about correcting it. Both of them correctly realizing the proper need for the utilization of industry to fuel a Nation's power. Production, rather than simply levering economic barometers was a much stronger indicator of the economy and hence, the AXIS powers enjoyed economic prosperity while the US was floundering.

It was only after the devastation of war, did the US actually receive any economic productivity. And even then, only on a 10-year period. If war had not happened in Europe, it's feasible that Germany/Italy's economic successes would have continued long into the 21st century. They may have lost a war, but on the economic front they were vastly superior. It's without question, the record states it clearly.

Doing well for a few years and then getting utterly smacked down because you pissed off every single one of your neighbours due to all of your leaders being warmongering idiots is not an accomplishment.

Yes they lost the war, but "utter smackdown" it wasn't. 90 million people lost their lives, and if we didn't back Soviet Russia, who knows what would've happened. In any event, the French/British Empires were bigger than they needed to be. Sharing the space with the German/Italian Empires wouldn't have really hurt them.

The big winner of WW2 was the Soviet Union. Today, Federal Russia is the largest country in the world thanks to Soviet victories.

But the point is, there's two records to consider when looking at the AXIS. The domestic productivity of the AXIS 1929-1939, and then the war effort. Criticize them for being warmongering bastards all you want, I won't stop you. But AXIS economists kicked our economists asses every day, mostly because our economists still think you can pull a tax lever and things are going to magically be alright LOL.

Liberal social engineering of forcing the military to except "Cat-5's" aka (McNamara's Moron Corps) ended when Nixon became CnC. The academic and inteligence standers would even be increased under the Reagan administration. Only Cat, l's, 2's and 3's would be excepted with a "few" upper Cat-4's to be assigned as latrine orderlies.

These high standers would be kept in place until the Clinton administration when the liberals lowered the standers for the U.S. Army in the name of diversity aka liberal social engineering allowing Hispanics to enlist in the Army without a high school diploma. All other races and ethnicities still would be held to the high standers that were already in place.

It wouldn't be until 2009 when Obama would bypass Congress and misuse executive privileges and lower the academic requirements for the U.S. military Officers Corps. These lowering of academic requirements were just another example of social engineering in the name of diversity and would only affect minority officer candidates, whites officer candidates would still be required to meet the high standers that were put into effect in 1946.

Because of the necessity of the fascist war machine to the Third Reich's economy, they attacked someone they really shouldn't have. That mistake is why German bodies lined the streets of Berlin.

    Damn right.

The Axis economy relied on constant war and conquest.

What in the world does any of this have to do with the lie of going to war where Saddam had WMD's? Answer, nothing at all! You are attempting to invent an argument that is totally irrelevant to the lies Bush told about WMD's.

So, it is exactly as I described. It was a lie that WMD's were not there so Bush could get the panty waist liberals on board according to you. Thanks for admitting then that it was all a lie. And after 4,000 plus dead Americans and the creation of ISIS, we got nothing, and Bush should be in jail for treason for sending us to war based on a lie. Well now, finally someone on the Right owning up to the truth.

The mission was based on a lie, and the Bush Administration should all be in jail for murder.

None of this is relevant at all. You just admitted that the Bush Administration is guilty of war crimes. And that's all I needed to prove, with your help of course.

    Amen!!!

    - - - Updated - - -

    That's right!

And folks, don't listen to fear-wielding Republicans anymore... there is ZERO proof those people have made anything better over the last 12 or so years. Democrats aren't perfect... but right now, it is probably BETTER for America to vote for them.

Well you are already on record saying that finding over 1,000 155 MM artillery projectiles and 122 MM rockets cantaining mustard gas or sarin gas is no big deal and don't count as being WMD's.

I'm sure history will see it differently, not all historians are liberal revisionist.

The facts are, liberals politicized the war in Iraq just like they did during the Vietnam War. Politicizring a war is the same as back stabbing an American soldier in the back while he's still on the battlefield.

    But I digress.

The topic is about the worst American President "of all times" and that would be Barack Obama. Since POTUS wears two hats one being Commander in Chief of the U.S. military, there's no argument that Obama has been the most incompetent CnC in America's history. All you have to do is look at the condition of our military today. Ordering liberal political correct rules of engagement on our troops that favor the enemy and caused American troops to bleed and die just makes it worst.

As a statesman on the geopolitical chess board, Obama plays checkers while the rest of the world leaders play chess.

As a leader, Obama has been a complete failure, unable to work with Congress and has abandoned the Constitution, the oath of office he took and unlawfully abuses executive privilege to rule.

Not at all. I'd hate to bring links into this, but I'll demonstrate that the AXIS economy did not pick up because of the war. In fact, it's established that conditions grew WORSE in war-time for both Germany and Italy(especially for Italy as the first defeated member of the AXIS.)

I particularly like how this one tried to downplay German economics in the 30's as opposed to Western failure.

If you're not willing to read through that and others, don't worry. I'm an economist by trade, I'll tell you exactly how it happened:

-The privation allowed the NS Government to be more generous with loans than otherwise. In other words, there was no "too big to fail". They wouldn't have allowed it to happen.
-Capital was still free-flowing, it just was only free-flowing in Germany. I've proposed similar fixes, in that the black hole derivatives take away BILLIONS of dollars. More than the "jobs overseas".

While it noted that wage rates were "frozen", it's equally possible to take the opposite approach with this strategy. As I've also called for, a vast increase in entreprenuial production would lead to the rise of ever rising wages or capital, as the overall economy grows. Very literally, Germany was a centralized economy. As was Italy, so centralized that Mussolini created specific departments for specific tasks.

The only downfall to Fascist Italy's economy was that there were too many chiefs, not enough indians. The system broke down because the chain of command was all over the place. An easy correction for me to make, as I'd minimize the numbers. To me, I'd have 60 Senators tops(and I'd eliminate the House of Representatives.). Instead, we'd have the city governments take command over the cities and thereby their respective States. The City/State governments would report their finances to the Federal Government, and the Federal Government would base a budget along those barometers.

The Third Position is the only true political position to take, as it really is government by the people and for the people in the truest sense. Just not "all the people", which democracy can't accomplish anyway, neither can a Republic. So if "representation" is identified by results, Fascism is the way to go.

Fascism is the ultimate domination of the worker by the bourgeoisie. It's reverse syndicalism in which the conditions of labour are controlled entirely by cabals of employers.

I really don't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) if someone profits from this in the short term. In the long term, this is exploitative to the worker and will inevitably result in the fascists being slaughtered in their beds when the workers rise up.

There's more to an economy than bourgeois profit.

Fascism is the ultimate generator of the State. Insofar as the People are only compromised of the State, when the State prospers, the People prosper. The reverse is also true, when the People prosper the State prosper.

There's only one exception: When the people(or certain people) prosper at a consequence to the vast majority or IE to the State. These are called parasites, and generally are to be removed. Germany strove to remove the rampant speculation that drove prices upward and left people jobless. Finland very recently in 2010 did the same. These spectators aren't good for any country and there's nothing "democratic" about keeping them around.

When the environment for productive and collusive business can be fertilized, all people: Workers, State and Entrepreneur can achieve greater heights, instead of the competition between the varying forces. The only "competition" that is productive, is competition that strives to make other businesses better. Competition that derives the State of its working components, also derives the people of their income.

Only a fool would want chaos and disorder in the political system in which we human beings live. Fascism utilizes and optomizes our efficiency for maximum results.

I did not say they were stupid and there are various kinds of intelligence. The fact of the matter is that many people who are classified as "very intelligent" succumb to the brainwashing and propaganda.

Fascism is the elevation of the state over the people. If a state exists, it should exist only as an extension of and organizer of the people rather than a dictator.

Capitalists ruin everything and removing them is good idea, it seems we agree on one thing.

I don't care about businesses, I care about workers. Demolish businesses. Bourgeois reaction never takes into account the worker.

Revolutionary Catalonia doubled production and halved the working day without oppressing the worker. The USSR industrialized in 20 years without oppressing the worker.

Radical leftism is clearly a better solution than Fascism, because a radical left government isn't going to have me shot in the head for my sexual orientation or nationality.

Other than veto power, appointments, and permissible executive decisions, the President's authority is limited to attempting to influence the decisions made by Congress. When the Republican leadership in Congress instructs its membership that its priority is to defeat Obama and any legislation that he backs, should he be blamed for any or all failures of his administration? If the American public collectively could ever agree on anything and make our opinions be known, our public officials would be obliged to heed our recommendations. Until we reconcile our situational differences and restore the common values necessary to reestablish our unity, we don't deserve to be pointing fingers.

Very true ... the fact remains that you committed not one but two fallacies.

    1) there are many soldiers who did not believe in the mission - especially after the fact and many have spoken out to this effect and,
    2) the fallacious appeal to a soldiers belief in the mission having some bearing on whether that mission is just. Soldiers are brainwashed to believe in the mission and are fed propaganda up the yang.

You don't have any idea what soldiers including Marines think while on the battlefield.
