Obama said that politics is the reason for the defeat of the gun control bill in the senate today. He said they lacked the courage to pass the bill because they feared for their jobs. Tell me this... If 90 percent of America suported this legislation as he and the media claims, why would they worry about being unseated? The fact is that the emails, letters, faxes, and phone calls that flooded their offices were by far in favor of defeating this bill. They listened to their constituents so they could stay employed. They remember history.
Well you know what they say, an email is worth 1 vote. A phone call is worth 10, a letter is worth 100. I know i sent many letters to my senators....
I know of many many people who have been writing politicians. Today I wrote to thank my senator who voted to uphold the constitution, and I wrote the other a letter letting him know that his vote to pass it will be reported all over social media sites and he will not get my vote in the future.
