I finally read some of the things OWS is for formally, and I can see what you're saying now. However, I think they are a bunch of frustrated Americans sick of two parties looking the same, with same economics, both globalists pretending to care about America, it is just the "official message" of OWS has been compromised under pretend control of the international left, like the Tea Party movement was eventually compromised by neocon puppets. What matters is ALL of America is pissed, and rightly so. That is the only FACT of the matter.

His routine is, by in large, absolutely true. This nightmarish vision of the the American dream has bothered people for a long time. It wasn't a novel concept when OWS was birthed, or when Carlin said it. It has been the circumstance for a long time.

I think something most on the left do not understand, is that the circumstance exists due to the unwarranted size and grossly expanding power of the federal government. It is why we on the right are on the right. A marvellous side effect of states rights, is that it is a whole lot more work to corrupt them all. The federal government exists to handle military, and keep the states from (*)(*)(*)(*)ing us basically (clearly a very simplistic statement). The legislative power of the Federal government, at its size, creates the circumstances which has put us here.

There are definitely cogent and accurate grievances from OWS. The problems are the radical contingents, the anarchist roots and structure, the lawlessness, the attempt to cover up lawlessness, the media control, the uncivil behavior, the ignorant polarizing (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)bag leftist celebrities that do not understand that the leftist ideology is responsible for the circumstance, the violent propaganda, the all over the map "goals", the interruption of people who do not support the movement from providing for themselves and their families... and most importantly, the focus not on Washington, but people who do, or are perceived to, have money. Knocking little old ladies down the stairs for being at a dinner celebrating Reagan is not going to get you the support you insist on.

OWS is a dangerous unaccountable movement which is only costing the people they claim to represent any hardship. You think .001% of their holdings being moved to OTHER federally regulated banks hurts more than the hard working folks whose jobs have been compromised because OWS is fighting "for them"?

OWS will accomplish nothing without another Kent State type occurrence which they seem to just be begging for, and trying to exaggerate the retaliation of the peace keepers.

They want Tiananmen square so bad they can taste it.

No. I had to tell 7 people that they didn't have a job any more because of my poor management in a bad economy. Taxing my company more would not have helped... but unlike some, I know that am responsible for my businesses failure, not "the man". It is a remarkably difficult pill to swallow, but it is the truth. There are plenty of businesses doing well, with better management. There are also businesses not doing well, but surviving, and we didn't. This was my fault.

Everyone (in politics, meaning both sides of the aisle) is in bed with big business. That is why the Tea Party (whom I do not support) elected people who would attempt to reign in Federal power and spending.

Antix is pretty close to being correct... however we didn't get this way overnight... and all that CAN occur given our two party system, is electing people who WILL change the conditions by which this occurs, or bloody revolution. The TP has had a profound effect in a completely ineffectual system... but there are a LOT of people in congress. It will take a little understanding that more govt = more corruption = less freedom. The left is gonna have to move further right, and the right is going to have to let go of some megacorp fellatio.
