:-DAnd when it comes to the Left, compassion only comes if you can afford it. They say you want it you pay for it.

how funny. first liberals demand they get something for (*)(*)(*)(*) near nothing. but now they demand that if you are gonna eat their food you have to put in some effort lol.

see liberals just want us to spread our wealth while they are greedy with theirs.

just another reason why i cant stand liberals.

If I was a guy who ran signatures in my profile, this would surely be it. Well put Sir Thaddeus.

    Reps sent.

It's almost something you would expect to see in an SNL skit. The snake has now started to swallow it's tail.

Neither side seems to understand the concept of limited government and I'd like to suggest that both philosophies are equally damaging to liberty.

Not to put too fine a point on it -- and not to get too far off topic -- but it is my belief that the "godly morals agenda" and the social conservatives played a disproportionate role in sending Barrak Obama to the White House. Without the social conservative litmus test, the Republicans could run very strong fiscal conservative candidates with broad appeal who could easily beat the steady stream lefty loons that the Democrats continue to anoint.

Absolutely agree. And neither of the two major political parties currently deliver that.

Well, we either believe in freedom or we do not. I no more want my government peering into my neighbors' bedrooms as I want it reaching into my bank account. YMMV.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one -- I see them as equally-damaging to individual liberty -- the defense of which is really the sole focus of the Constitution and the charge to the leaders we send to represent us, and ultimately to us, the citizens whose interests hang in the balance. YMMV, of course.

Hence the rank hypocrisy of kicking them out of your tent cities.

Logically, the homeless are entitled to it, aren't they?

There would seem to be a lot of debate over what should be included among government functions and what shouldn't.

Socialized healthcare is available to everyone when it's implemented. Your argument doesn't invalidate the premise of my own.

No one said stealing from the producers, for the lazy, would be easy.

A legitimate government function is and should be something that it is obviously capable of handling. Military is one of them. Micro-managing economic sectors is not.

Are those homeless willing to stand for a couple hours holding up a sign for their dinner?

This is the distinction I don't believe many of you are seeing.

Many of us are not wanting something for NOTHING. We are willing to work. We just want a decently paying job without having to work in sweatshop conditions for pennies a day.

I can understand why the OWS protesters are reluctant to feed someone that doesn't want to work for it. I'd probably do the same.

    Thank you for your time.

Well, I do have to admit that our government seems a lot less capable of handling some of the functions that other governments perform.

Its just funny how the socilists don't like socialism.

they are mad they are doing work, and those who aren't are getting the benefit from it. lmao

Your concern is as laughable as your contention.
Do you start each day with clown make-up or does making a fool of yourself just come naturally?

"ahhh we are the 99%, don't eat our food, your homeless!" what a bunch of candyasses.

I must be getting a little slow in my old age....I just figured the problem out regarding the OWS kitchen staff not wanting to feed the homeless.

It is not a ideological theorized tactical talking point about "being" on some higher moral ground as liberals.

The poor really showed up, and the liberal facade crumbled into little bits of reality.

Roads, national defense, national parks, police and fire protection are impersonal.

One's health and medical care are extremely personal. A fully socialized healthcare system within a capitalist economic system requires those with means to fund it, while subsidizing, to varying degrees, those without means...but each "qroup" are expected to accept the same, utilitarian service the socialists deem appropriate.

    (*)(*)(*)(*) that.

This is a lesson for the young fools. They are being led by Marxist elites who have no intention of cooking for the masses. They have useful idiots for that.
