We would at first be in Domes...it would take 500 to 2000 years to Terraform the entire planet of Mars and you are right....we would need to create a Magnetic Field around most of Mars to allow both liquid water and a stable atmosphere to exist as such an atmosphere would need to contain Water Vapor.

This would be far in our distant future to create such a field but it is possible to do artificially if you have enough power...thus Fusion Reactors of Matter/Antimatter Reactors would be needed but it is possible.

1000 to 2000 years is a very small amount of time if one considers Human's have been around in one form or another for about 5 Million years.

But if anyone looks at just how fast technology is evolving....I would think we would...with the help of some captured tech. from some out of town folks....have viable Interstellar Travel within 200 years....or sooner.

Remember....200 years ago we were using animals to get around....and using candles for lighting our homes.

    LOL!!!

So...LOL!! You think me to be some Wacko Conspiracy Theorist? LOL!!! OK then.

    That's OK.

The members that know me to any reasonable extend KNOW I am not prone to be a Conspiracy type.

I post about things I KNOW to exist.

Our advancements in the past 200 years are all within the physics which we have known and know today. Interstellar travel at 60,000 mph can be attained today but travel at the SOL or higher is not possible based on the physics we know. Can there be new discoveries...sure there will be. But travel of humans at the SOL IMO is not possible without manipulating time and gravity. Perhaps this is never going to happen? If so, inhabitants of every planet in the Universe are basically relegated to their little spots. It's kind of like wondering if an ant located in South Africa will ever visit San Francisco? Both exist but they'll just need to accept they will never travel to SF.

There's not enough money on Earth to think about terraforming Mars!
