Former Trump staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman might have secretly recorded private conversations in the White House as she feared involvement in special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, The New York Daily News reported Friday.

Sources told the Daily News that Manigault-Newman, who was abruptly fired from the White House late last year, “loves” to record meetings.

“Everyone knows Omarosa loves to record people and meetings using the voice notes app on her iPhone,” one source said. “Don’t be surprised if she has secret audio files on everyone in that White House, past and present staffers included.”

The White House’s recent ban on staffers having their personal cell phones was tied to Manigault-Newman’s habit of recording her conversations, the source told the Daily News.

So, Trump ushered in Wolff, ANd Omarosa, and they BOTH will write the truth, or just hand it all over to Mueller. And Omarosa KNOWS drama. So, she likely wrote down her objections, and things that aren't her, she swears, JUST IN CASE.

    YEEEEEEHAWWWW

Interesting. Washington D.C. has a one party consent law regarding taping conversations. It is illegal to tape a conversation without consent of the people being taped.

If she did tape, and releases it, I guess she wants to go to jail.

One party consent means BOTH have to consent?

Perhaps Hillary can also tap into their foreign money stocked slush funds to pay for the legal fees and fines.

It means all parties being taped must give consent.

No it doesn't.. If you are taping two other people without their knowledge you are breaking the law.. If you are taping your conversation without the other person's knowledge, you are legal.

I would find it incredibly hard to believe that it's legal to secretly tape the president & Sr WH staff during private meetings.

If theconsent of one party is required, you can record a conversation if you're a party to the conversation. ... Under Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 2511(2)(d) requires only that one party give consent.

    LOL.

Umm. The person secretly recording another is not the one who has to give consent. Otherwise, what would be the point of the law?

I'm going to resist the urge to pile on here...........

I assure you it was not "Chief of Secret Recording of People Who Haven't Given Consent To Do So".

Not to question your apparent vast knowledge of law BUT

    DOES this constitute consent ;)

If the Attorney General gives permission, she may disclose. She and the news services are walking a fine line.

If it is one-party consent, then she can record the conversation as long as she is part of the conversation. She can't record it if she wasn't one of the parties involved in the conversation. That's the point of the law. One-party consent means I can record my own phone conversations with other people, for example, but a third party who isn't part of the conversation can't legally record the call without the consent of at least one of the participants. Sorry dude, but Margot is right.

Todays News doesn't care about lines, they just blurt of unsubstantiated bullshit for 120 hours and then quickly issue a 15 second retraction ;)
