Evolution does not mandate that certain populations within a species be naturally inferior to others. That's ridiculous.

All members of a species have a common evolutionary history therefore they share most of their biological characteristics. They only develop major genetic differences once distinct evolutionary lineages arise. Human intelligence is of equal survival value in every environment humans have encountered therefore there is no reason for it to be unevenly distributed across geographic populations. The traits that human populations don't have in common like skin color differences arose as an adaptation to different environments. Most of these traits are superficial. There is simply no scientific basis to say that evolution must have caused differences in intelligence.

How many biologists, geneticists and anthropologists support racist ideas vs. those that don't?

Egalitarians clearly have the advantage in scientific support on this subject.

Not really. I think racism is something that comes with age in a lot of people. I've seen it in my parents. I was raised to be color blind and to treat everybody the way I want to be treated--regardless of race. I'm finding the same parents who raised me that way to become more and more racist as they get older. Ironically, my father noted the same in his father.

Just treat every individual with dignity and respect.

I don't see how you can 'pretend' not to notice someone's race; it's kind of a big thing, and it comes up in really obvious ways if you've ever actually tried to date someone. There's a whole culture, a shared group experience, with different values and different personality.

Of course, we are all human and there's some things we all share in common. I could compare it to gender. In some ways, there's a gulf of separation, but we're part of the same community to in other ways.

 

Why is morally wrong? while respecting others people .. one is free to think and lives as one wish. The most racist countries in the world are not in Europe or US... not...
