Why was it ok to drop not on but two nuclear bombs on japan in ww2 but it would be a problem to drob a nuke on isis extremist? Especially when they are threatening to attack on our own soil! So it was OK to kill millions of innocent Japanese citizens but good forbid if we killed innocent people in the middle east when most of those innocent people will probably join isis i really don't understand the logic i don't even care if it's not a nuke just blow them all up with something and be done with there nonsense

During WW2, the USA had the only nukes in existence. To use a nuke now that many nations, some quite unfriendly to us, also have them might start something that would end us all. I would hope that the 'glass parking lot' crowd would temper their desires in light of that fact.

Your overall point is well taken. We should hit hard and fast, and accept the collateral damages, when we send our young men and women to fight. To feed them slowly into the grinder like GWB did and Obama is doing is shameful.

Radicals and America haters got a lot of mileage out of Abu Garib with next to nothing going on so imagine the hullabaloo that would go on with collateral damage going into the hundred of thousands range.

And, like Hamas, ISIS can certainly move into cities and the leftists media will cry themselves to sleep over the civilians killed. It works for Hamas, it'll work for ISIS. It's always worked for Al Sharpton, too.

Before we start dropping bombs we could drop hundreds of thousands of leaflets in Arabic, and put it out on the web that if you have Islamo-Nazis living close to where you are, then YOU are in danger. Better get the hell out immediately because the WRATH will arrive shortly! And you won't know when, where, or for how long....

What good would that do? Those "Islamo-Nazis" would get the leaflets too, and split.

If the ISIS forces simply split up and bugged-out, they would have no organization, no strength, and no command/control/communication. They would lose their ability to gather, maintain, and deploy war-fighting materiel. They could join the people leaving the country, but that wouldn't do them any good. If they simply "melted away" they would functionally cease to exist. But, if they sequester themselves in any kind of headquarters, or fortifications, we can destroy all of them with a few bombing runs. BTW, does anybody know when President Golf Club plans to start engaging a serious, persistent air campaign against these crudballs?

Look at what a good, strong, loyal ally Japan has been because we did, eh? Nuclear weapons change minds.

The world is a different place now than it was back then. For example Dresden was pretty much a pure civilian target and we bombed the crap out of them and we didn't have many complaints. The Allies killed something like 25,000 civilians and we knew they were civilians.

Carpet bomb Baghdad or Kandahar into dust and you will have the entire world including much of the American public up in arms against it.

Plus we were dealing with an actual government back then in regards to Japan. We had to make the government itself quit so that the military would stop fighting us. We don't have an actual government to tell ISIS or Al Qaeda to "stop" so us nuking Iraq into dust wouldn't make them stop it would only further prove their point that we are "evil" and probably make things worse.

Plus we would be killing tens or hundreds of thousands if not millions of innocent people. Yes it might actually destroy ISIS but from a moral sense that would be extremely messed up. In spite on common opinion the majority of Muslims aren't terrorists who want to hurt us. They are mostly normal people who want no part of any of this and killing them just because they are there would be wrong.
