    I hate toll roads which have usually been paid for by taxes

    In my opinion a big part of the expense is consumed by employees with no function except to collect the tolls to pay their salary

    Agreed. Which is why I don't understand why some believe it's ok to do so on a virtual level.

    It's not a necessity for anyone.
    Maybe convenience, but conveniences need to be paid for. It's not all about you, pay your own way

    Fair point, but I think this is one of those multi-partisan issues that we could all benefit from expressing concern over.
