It sure isn't the Ali days when boxing was boxing and punches were thrown and delivered. Even if the fight ran the distance, one guy was very beaten up and one guy still sported his beautiful face he got from his mama. One judge called it a draw, two judges gave it to Mayweather. Admittedly I watched a live blog and saw the results come in. So I ask, has boxing become boring compared to "the day". Should they match for more rounds to invoke fatigue? Granted Rousey is not seeing a lot of top flight competition, because female fighting is still new. But what competition she sees, she dominates. Not even close.
Mayweather is a bum, so what? Tyson was a bum, most boxer's are bum's outside the ring, their talent is in beating people up. Its their skill inside the ring that's the issue. Female fighting is not new, there have been female marital artists for many decades. People who have been serious in any type of martial art have probably fought against females in class, and at equal levels its the very rare female who can even hold their own against a male. Watch the UFC fights and compare the men featherweights to the women, its obvious the power in the kicks and punches are magnitudes different. Spend a few months teaching Mayweather to defeat takedowns so he can keep the fight a stand up fight and he's just like a lot of UFC fighters who are strikers and little else, but Mayweather has serious knockout power. The only chance Rousey would have is to get Mayweather on the ground and tied up. I would like to see such a fight, but Mayweather is a business empire worth 100's of millions, his business handlers would never allow such a fight unless Mayweathers career is over and he has nothing to lose.

You miss the point. Whether you like Mayweather or not, he is the engine in a business empire which rests on his ability to go into the boxing ring for $40 Million purses plus endorsements. Its utterly foolish to risk that engine for nothing. It would be like driving a million dollar antique car in LA traffic, it might be fun but irresponsible to risk $1 million on a lark. And what does Mayweather have to gain? If he wins, he just "beat up a girl" (again). If he gets seriously injured, he loses more in future income from missing one boxing match than Rousey will earn in her entire life. If he loses, then he was "beaten by a girl" and will lose prestige and that means money. Its a no win for him. Rousey knows he won't take her up on it, but she has nothing to lose in complaining and acting tough.
