Pat Robertson: "Christians Should Not Be Part of Occupy Wall Street"

Jesus speaks about Wall Street and conservative shills for the rich:

Luke 6:24 - "But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation.

Luke 12:33 - Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves with purses that do not grow old, with a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Matthew 6:19 - "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal,

And here's what James says:

James 2:5 - Listen, my beloved brethren. Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?

James 2:6 - But you have dishonored the poor man. Is it not the rich who oppress you, is it not they who drag you into court?

James 5:1 - Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you.

 

Yet "Pat" (his real name is "Marion") doesn't mind making a fortune in blood diamond mines in Africa where workers are raped and killed.

Read Matthew 25 and tremble. Robertson is a false Christian totally denounced by every aspect of the gospel and the epistles. He is exactly the people Jesus calls "goats" in Matthew 25.

 

Does anyone actually watch this cooky guy?

The Archbishop of Canterbury sides with the occupy people, but what would he know about Christianity...? or even pits Buchinane.

 

Does OP (or anyone else for that matter) actually want to try to refute what he said? Because so far, all I'm seeing is just hurt feelings from lefties because somebody questioned the motives of their little movement.

 

How can he speak for all Christians?

 

I and other liberal Christians have excommunicated Marion, so no, he's out.

 

Who says he does? He has an opinion just like you do and he believes this movement is something that should be avoided. From what I've seen of OWS, it looks like he is right on this one.

 

A man who says that its okay to divorce a woman with Alzheimer's so a dude can get some at 70 or 80 is not someone I would take Christian advice from. I also watched him tell a woman that men will be men and they will always flirt with pretty women.

 

That's true. Innocent flirting is ... reality.
