Patriot front being rounded up and arrested in Idaho

I've never heard of this group so I looked it up. Wiki defines them as "white supremacists" and a "hate group." They seem to have some views that I don't agree with (which isn't a crime by the way). I don't know what the terms "white supremacist" and "hate group" even mean anymore. It seems anyone who is white and doesn't adhere to the BLM narrative is a "white supremacist." The folks lined up at Justice Kavanaugh's home seem pretty hateful, so are they a "hate group"? Bottom line, it appears that all these people do is have a few rallies to broadcast their opinions and put up fliers and dress alike, none of which are crimes as far as I know. They don't seem to have been accused of any violence. Like I said, I don't agree with them, they sound like dummies to me. But I find it troubling that people are arrested simply for their opinions. A slippery slope.

Except they did not break the law. It is not just a simple matter of them breaking the law. The authorities are just claiming that what they did constitutes evidence of breaking the law, even though that is a very stretched and highly questionable interpretation.

 

The authorities have arrested them for conspiring to commit crimes, which is itself illegal. Conspiracy to commit ANY crime is a crime itself and there is nothing stretched or questionable about it.

You don't think 31 people crammed into a UHAUL truck is suspicious and grounds for detainment and arrest? If they were Mexicans, you think they should have been let go?

 

They didn't instigate the violence. Most of those that did were not arrested.

Guy that "planted the bombs"? Not arrested. Guy that was there saying they should "Go in"? Not arrested. Guy that led the way into the capitol? Not arrested. Guy that opened the doors and let them in? Not arrested.
