    I understand both sides here. But I think if this kind of thing happens then the jurisdiction should pay something to the homeowner. Should having your house destroyed by law enforcement be part of homeowner's insurance?

    Sounds like really poor training to me. A random shoplifter? Was he holding the homeowner hostage?

    The homeowner should have at least been handed a shotgun and given the opportunity to flush the intruder out of there.
    That's what they would've done in many parts of Arkansas.
