    As I stated before: nonsense.

    Also nonsense.

my only question is why did these guys take so long to notice it?

But, as a make-up call for calling attention to Curry, Scientific American has run a poll of its readers on climate change. Remember that SciAm has been shilling for the climate apocalypse for years, publishing a particularly vicious series of attacks on Denmark’s Bjorn Lomborg’s Skeptical Environmentalist. The magazine also featured NASA’s James Hansen and his outlandish claims on sea-level rise. Hansen has stated, under oath in a deposition, that a twenty foot rise is quite possible within the next 89 years; oddly, he has failed to note that in 1988 he predicted that the West Side Highway in Manhattan would go permanently under water in twenty years.

SciAm probably expected a lot of people would agree with the key statement in their poll that the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is “an effective group of government representatives and other experts.”

Hardly. As of this morning, only 16% of the 6655 respondents agreed. 84%—that is not a typo—described the IPCC as “a corrupt organization, prone to groupthink, with a political agenda

More misinformation by a Merchant of Doubt
Neither Tol nor Stavins are climatologists

I see the deniers are preparing for next years global temperature increase due to El Nino by creating another phrase:Catastrophic Anthropogenic Global Warming. They'll deflect the discussion to CAGW and claim that "AGW exists, it's just not catastrophic"
    Short history of Denier "science"
2000 no global warming; GISS thermometers are faulty
2010 global warming, but not man-made; it's the sun; Mars and Titan are also warming
2011 climate change but the climate has always changed, it's not humans
    Prediction
2015 climate is changing, humans are causing it but it's not catastrophic

Neither is the head of the IPCC and many of the contributing writers to their reports and Mike Mann was pursuing a his phd degree in geology when he produced his hockey stick graph. Your attempt to make a point is ridiculous

No, your attempt at misinforming is ridiculous.
No one ever claimed the head of the IPCC is a climatologist.
Dr. Mann was and is involved in research of climate.
You claimed Stavins and Tol were climatologists. Stavins and Tol were never and are not now engaged in any research of climate.

you are just nitpicking now Mannie. The IPCC is losing more credibility every day as more of it's authors jump the sinking ship. I am sure this upsets you but attacking me is not going to solve it

I don't know what took them so long. IPCC = InterGOVERNMENTAL Panel on Climate Change. Al Gore saw nothing but $$$ signs when he saw that. After he learned what CO² meant.:roflol:

Just my opinion here but I can't see how anyone with 2 more than functioning brain cells can look at the IPCC or the climate change argument anymore and not see it is all about politics and power. I am sure there are more than a few honest and ethical scientists left studying it but the real power brokers among them are about as corrupt as they come
