It seems to me that we hire representatives and senators to go to Washington to do the will of the people. Then along comes a lobbyst with a pocket full of money and pays the politician more money to obstruct that job we paid him to do. Is the congressman in accepting lobbyst money guilty of conflict of interest, fraud, or treason?

Is the congressman guilty of breaking the law? Who writes the laws, son? Congressmen are allowed to engage in insider trading, too, but you'll go to prison for it. Martha Stewart did.

We should kick him out of office next election, plain and simple. The problem is that we don't.
