Plus we do preferential voting (like ranked voting) and because the government will fine your arse if you are not enrolled to vote we have the most accurate electoral rolls anywhere

Because the situation now is far different. She lost. She is not running this time. For one thing, Biden is not as rejected by the population as Hillary was. Second, the pollsters have learned with their mistakes and are not under-polling the populations they didn't consult sufficiently in 2016, so the polls are more accurate now, and they are showing Biden ahead by much more than Hillary had at this point. Suburban women are turning against Trump, white blue-collar workers (some of them) are turning against Trump, seniors are turning against Trump... Biden is not making the mistakes Hillary did (e.g., neglecting the Rust Belt), and so on.

 

But did they really? Not by 2018 I suppose. Agreed?

Polls can be skewed. But what we do know is that there are a lot of Trump voters who won’t take polls or lie due to backlash. I wouldn’t trust some stranger with my voting preference because I don’t know what that person will do with it? It’s already a fact that your job and relationships can be destroyed by a Right leaning viewpoint. Liberals are the most intolerant on the planet right now and have no qualms about severing ties with people who disagree with them. It’s very disturbing. I don’t know a single conservative person who cares if someone they love leans left. But I know many on the Left who won’t talk to you if you admitted you have ANY positive reaction to anything Trump is ever done. It’s pure sickness. I know Jews who can’t even support what he’s done for Israel. They’ll sooner support murdering Palestinians than they would any Trump policy. TDS is real and it’s scary.

The pollster's reputation (if such thing still exists) is measured by his final poll as it's the only poll verifiable by the actual vote count, the accuracy (or lack of it) of prior polls is .simply unprovable.

They know that very well and their non-final polls are nothing but blatant statistical manipulation, aka garbage.

Just watch how these polls will suddenly start "tightening" in the next 2 weeks.

In a normal world, this kind of "scandal" could have done some damage to a politician's candidacy.

But since 2016, we no longer live in a normal world.

We now live in a world where politics prevails over values and candidate behavior.

So this little story with Hunter is nothing compared to the Hollywood tapes, the $25 million Trump paid to compensate the 1600 students he defrauded in his fake university, his hush money to buy the silence of a porn star he slept with while his wife was pregnant and so many others...

Oh yeah, they missed ONE race and you call 2018 a total failure, LOL. The predictions, for example from 538, that the Dems would take the House but fail to take the Senate, were damn accurate. Anyway, it's not unwavering faith; it's just that they seem to be more accurate this time around. And even if they aren't, the lead favoring Biden is so huge now, that even if by election day it narrows, he should still win. Unless, of course, Trump manages to challenge in court claiming groundless fraud and his buddies in the Judiciary rescue him, which I'm positive he will at least try, and may very well succeed. But Trump winning fair and square? Sorry, it's not going to happen. We'll save this thread and come back to it to see who will eat crow, you or me.
