Here's my problem with people calling Obama a racist just for going to a church that has a racist preacher..... Rick Santorum used to go to a church with that was headed by a pedophile....does that mean he supports pedophiles?......According to you, ues it does.
Did the priest preach about molesting children in front of his congregation? Did Santorum hear messages like that for 20 years and still got up every Sunday to go to church there? If not, it's not a fair comparison to Obama.
Americans have not "done bad things in the past" but American politicians have and we all condemn those past politicians. BTW I happen to be very much ashamed of what many American politicians have done but I also find that their actions violated the US Constitution so, at least in my eyes, they are criminal acts unrelated to what America is. For example, nothing could have been more disgraceful that the presidency of Bush who violated the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th Amendments while in office. He was a disgrace to Americans and disgraced America in the world community.
Could you do us as well as you a favor by listing all those violations that you accuse Bush of doing? Be specific.
Sorry, but I'm with Shiva on this one. Bush was a disgusting excuse for a President who took Iraq to war on the false assumption that it had "WMDs." What a joke that turned out to be, just like the joke of Obama accusing Iran of having Nukes today. Now, I'm willing to admit that there's obviously higher forces behind the scenes making all these recent Presidents take these harmless/unimportant countries to war and that Obama is just as bad, if not worse than Bush, but you can't defend that man as a President.
Bush took us to war because Iraq failed to adhere to the 19 Resolutions brought on by the United Nations. Every high polutant liberal politician at the time from Hillary to John Kerry to Chuckie Schumer had also spoken of the need to take out Saddam. I can provide a montage of those liberals giving speeches that would back Bush up on. Surely you and Shiva wouldn't blame nearly every politician and statesmen and stateswomen for our entry into that war. What joke was it that we took out Saddam who had murdered upwards to 300,000 of his own people in true genocide manner? And what joke was it that the Iraqi people finally got the freedom needed to vote in a democrat manner? History will look kindly upon Bush for his effective and courageous move to take out Saddam the tyrant. You two sound a lot like that dove Ron Paul.
