Ha! That's true. It makes me uncomfortable as well, but we don't seem to advance very far by demonstrating the very qualities we are accused of, in these forums.

I used to wonder where the topheavy villifying and robust namecalling was anchored, and if it was the high art I thought of it as, or merely a lazy substitue for cogent analysis backed by the sometimes difficult work of relentlessly proving cedible sources ro be true through careful and crafty conversation, game theory, historical modeling and such.

A cursory review of the work product presented many but not all of these contributor profiles provides a convincing answer to the question, as you will find consistent name-callers who frequently harass others with a somewhat rare level of vitriol appear limited in bringing much else to the table.

But I know you have a masters level education in the subject, based on what I know of your forum pedigree and the personalities you have experienced there.

I truly am glad to see you stretch beyond the limits of those who are confined to such dwellings, as I know you will find you do not need and will not much miss them.

I, on the other hand, may be a bit too sentimental for my own good.

 

That's for sure! They're a petty-minded, overly mediocre bunch who behave like children online. While the internet will tend to do that to people on the whole due to the general lack of formality and social repercussions, those goons take it to a lower level.

 

Is the sickness clonetrolling, whining, or both? Perhaps it would help to pick one or the other and roll with it.

It's funny you said that, because I just checked in on them and they're in full-membersonly-jacket mode. I haven't seen them so worked up over something since Castro died. I mean, I've never seen them this worked up. It's like the scene in Frankenstein where all the village idiots pull out the pitchforks after they can't find their car keys in their pockets and sunglasses on top of their heads.

I think they're about to burn a Great Satan effigy.

Whatever's up, I think it's safe to say you can count on ypur occupying more of their attention than their jobs, families, pets and hobbies for the next few weeks. If you discover there is no reason to go backwards, heaven forbid, I believe they will have to send a lesser minion here to attempt an abduction. I mean, another lesser minion, given the 2=1 ratio to real human being.

Funny how the real Nemesis seems to have been "her" own worst enemy, judging by the site not found notice ongets whenever checking up on the old stomping grounds. If anyone cares, Digilinus is in the end stages of liver failure. Kysusha (Jim from New Zealand) told me about it in an e-mail today. They had been e-mailing each other and then the e-mails stopped.

He's on the list for a transplant, but who knows if he'll get one?

Hi AE, no I didn't. I hear facebook changed a few things a few weeks ago and I probably didn't turn something on or change a setting. I don't block anyone or any stuff on FB.

I did change my privacy settings a couple of years ago and my friend Alisa called me almost immediately to complain. I changed it back.
