Can you not tell me all this looks pretty bad. They are preparing for something. I feel they should be warning the people so they could also help themselves. The more people capable of helping themselves. The better the government could help the ones incapable of doing so. I would love for someone to show me how all the on going government doings don't lead to the preparation of something coming.

My guess is that maybe this is preparation for the right wing nut jobs that are talking smack about exercising their 2nd amendment rights to take their country back. These guys are sounding pretty worked up these days. They seem to think in terms of "my way or the highway" mentality.
Yep pretty much this. The extreme right has been using their violent rhetoric in print, campaign ads, and on forums such as this. I bought my gun to protect myself from far right loons when they finally come full circle and follow the violent pathways of their radical Islamist brethren.

I would think its not paranoid. If that the case the government is also paranoid. I think of it the same way Obama sees it. Talk about it and prepare. But prepare for what? That's the point of the thread. I'm not saying become a doomsday prepper but just to be aware of what might happen and prepare the best you can. Not to sit back and wait on the government to save you. They are preparing so should we. Never blamed Obama for what may happen but stated what he is doing to prepare. I did make a joke about his forced labor executive order. I would like to know what would happen if you go obey if you are forced into labor for the government.

What I gather your implying is that the government could run amok and we'd have total anarchy if they did. I believe the checks and balances in the government would prevent that scenario from occurring; additionally the American people would never stand for it either way. I also believe that most Americans are prepared for some disasters; other disasters, there is no way to be prepared under normal circumstances.
I implied several reasons. Again a dirty bomb. That's why they purchased large quantities of radiation pills and hand held detectors. Collapse of the economy. Could be why the civil unrest training through out the country. Several bombs in a large city. Maybe that's the reason for large armor trucks. Could be many things. But they are preparing for something.

They are openly 'preparing' (as propaganda and at the same time they are preparing) for something. They do all that in the open to cause fear and resistance in the millions of people. What all this is causing is their organisation, because when people are in fear (when there is danger) they start to defend themselves, that is grouping together, start to organize (this is what every animal, fish or bird does, flock together, humans do the same (we are in nature and survive, a group is stronger than an individual) The gov (system) is preparing and at the same time organizing the people (when people band together they can be organized much easier, look at Egypt what happened, millions have been organized, have grouped together, by years of propaganda via state tv) And when the gov/system have organized the people, they can use all their electronic systems and preperations. All this prepertion has a double function. On tv you see the shows about the doomsday preppers, this more show or used as fear mongering than a serious program, because you cannot fully prepare for mass organisation, because when such powerful hierarchy is in place most of your preps have no advantage, look at Germany and North Korea, these type of systems have very strong hierarchy, you cannot escape such a system, the German and North Korean people lived and live in a prison system, a dictatorship) The best preparation is not give up your power (vote), so that mass organisation never can take place. Knowledge of history and how organisation works is freedom for the people (because if peope could see how they are organized their freedom, they currently still have, cannot be taken away, because they could see it happening in front of their eyes (e.g, the Egyptian people cannot see they have been and are organized, probably only a few do that have no political influence)

Again you are wrong. I do have a skill set that could be in demand and equipment and labor force to come in after a emergency and have after Katrina. You are also wrong about volunteers. If they meant volunteers they would have stated as such. If you state volunteers then there would be no need to bother with the statement of not paying them.
