It contradicts nothing. If one knew what the map showed, it shows Dorian could be in the Gulf or skirting south of Florida into the Gulf by 8AM and the spaghetti graphs that picture is based on shows it hitting the Gulf coast.

Now we know that Trump was right and the MSM was wrong.
Yet another reason why virtually no one still trusts the MSM

One still wonders why Trump was corrected by the NWS a few hours after his Tweet....

American climatologists don't yet know that reality must adapt to what Trump is saying.

The NWS needs to get their act together before they spew Fake News through the MSM.

"The federal agency that oversees the National Weather Service has sided with President Trump over its own scientists in the ongoing controversy over whether Alabama was at risk of a direct hit from Hurricane Dorian.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) stated Alabama was in fact threatened by the storm at the time Trump tweeted Alabama would “most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated.”

Referencing archived hurricane advisories, the NOAA statement said that information provided to the president and the public between Aug. 28 and Sept. 2 “demonstrated that tropical-storm-force winds from Hurricane Dorian could impact Alabama."

Andrew Freedman and Matthew Cappucci, September 6, 2019.

    Worth Repeating....

And the discussion showed the area that was impacted by Hurricane Michael....

    Another FAKE = FALSE flag

Do you think Dorian will turn around and finally hit Alabama?

Right after NWS and "weatherpersons" stop hyping hurricanes.

Weather reporting is just slightly less Fake than routine political Fake News.

A Russian spy trawler sent out subsonic blast waves from just a few miles off shore from West Palm Beach. Trump and Putin at it again...

That's outrageous. I demand an APOLOGY!

But yeah, there has to be a clinical name for someone who is always offended.

    No, you.

"And, I will say, the states -- and it may get a piece of a great place: It's called Alabama. And Alabama could even be in for at least some very strong winds and something more than that, it could be," Trump told reporters.

Pretty clearly impeachable. But seriously, do Dems and the media seriously want to love or die on this particular hill?

I guess this is what happens when Mueller, Barr, and even Michael Cohen leave you twisting in the wind over the collusion issue.
    Get it ... wind?

Ok lets start by agreeing that this is not a hugely consequential issue.... and then discuss why it is a pretty important issue

The thing is. .. did trump make an error... and then refuse to acknowledge the error.... and then pretend that it was not an error.... and then try to to shoe it was no error by presenting a map that “someone” had altered with a sharpie..... Yes, i think it is clear that all that happened (again acknowledging the issue itself is small)

But what does this illustrate about trump the man.... and i challenge you to deny what i am about to say: Trump has a personal policy of NEVER ADMITTING ERROR. He cannot simply gloss over the error and move on.... he cannot put the error in the past despite it being inconsequential.... he stubbornly has to maintain that he made NO ERROR. And, further, he has to go to the extreme of corrupting the evidence (the sharpie). In order to continue to shoe there was no error even about this inconsequential detail

Now, if we can agree about the plain facts of this case, and we can therefore agree about how trump handled the facts, and it seems clear that he would handle other, more consequential situations in a similar way......,, then you DO have a problem that can be concerning.

Which is to say.... lets say this WAS some other highly consequential issue.... would we be comfortable with similar handling? Similar denial, similar corruption of the evidence, similar stubbornness to change course if it would cause him embarrassment?

Yes. Trump has been proven right and his Fake News critics have been proven wrong - again.

"Parts of Alabama were covered, usually with 5% to 10% chances, between Aug. 27 and Sept. 3. Maps on Aug. 30 grew to cover far more of Alabama, but for only 12 hours, and the highest percentage hit ***20% to 30%*** before quickly shrinking back down."

Why are they showing a 6 day old map. And no it isn’t the original chart. It was clearly drawn on with black marker

9,000 people is just a hole in the ground town. It is nothing major.

The real takeaway from this incident is that it shows how easily the dummy can be fooled by foreign agents working in the White House. Suppose a foreign country is planning on doing a sneak attack on us. The agent shows the dummy a piece of paper with fake info on it that supports his stupid biases and we end up suffering a major disaster. He is the primary threat to our national security because he is an idiot and dummies kiss his butt.

I was watching Bay News 9 out of Tampa almost constantly at that point until it was predicted to go up the East Coast as when it was predicted to cross the state and enter the gulf i would have been in its direct path...

Earlier prediction maps aka spaghetti models had it doing just as i described.. I dont need to prove a damn thing to you and you certaintly are on the defensive by your need to put in the stupid comment at the end.

Trump said it was likely that the hurricane would hit Alabama and hit it hard. At the time he made that prediction, that's not what weather services were saying at all. A mistake is fine, but the lengths he's gone to try to rewrite reality to fit his claims are just pathetic, and this isn't the first time.

The mistake is screaming that Alabama was never threatened and we actually had asshats here claim "Hurricanes dont act like that"..

Take it up with your ilk.. I lived through the preparation.. I was stuck in line at the gas station to get gas for my generator to have them run out... Every store here ran out of bottled water to sell. etc etc etc.. But the left wants to convince everyone including me ( usually with smear) that it never happened..

    Complete and utter insanity.

No one is claiming that Alabama was never threatened. When you have to rewrite Trump's claims to make them "true" you need to reassess things.
