Exactement - it isn't as if they're forced to be there, they're there because they wanted to be. What's the adage now? Oh yes - If you don't want to do the time don't do the crime. Simple enough to understand even for the thickest criminal.

Why not just turn Tristan de Cuhna into an open prison...ship all the malcontents onto the island and airdrop supplies to them and let them get on with it. They can do what they like then and nobdy has to clean up the mess after them. No need to guard them coz their ain't nothing for thousands of miles in any direction except rather cold water and seagulls. Win and a place.

lol I've often had exactly the same thought, but using an island off the West cost of Scotland where the weather would be a bit more inclement? (I'm assuming Tristan de Cuhna is a tropical island - it sounds like it but I don't have time to Google)

Funny how May can find a billion quid to bribe 6 DUP MPs but there's no money for a crisis like this. It's almost as if governments only really care about self preservation....

I really do suspect that all Western countries are putting a bit aside to pay the cost of re-building Iraq, Syria and now Yemen. Well hey, someone's gonna have to pay for it?
