Progressives have been forced to be defenders of the State

I get a kick out of it. There's hardly anything that some of you will not defend. You are now the "conservatives." You wish to conserve the methods of a failing statist quo.

That's because you got flipped on your heads and no longer have anything to do with liberty. You are the states' little yes-men. That is your role, and most of you accept it.

It's not even about Obama, it's about the fact that more people on the "right" believe in individual liberty than the so-called "left" does. You must oppose them, what else are you to do? Admit that fiscal sanity matters? Of course not! Admit that the state is constantly stomping on social liberty, even with a cool cat like Obama in office?

Liberals have historically opposed tyranny and the state on most fronts. As the state was ruled by elitists, just like it is now. What happened? You're propagandized.

 

Liberals care more about getting their agenda enacted then what the effects might be.

They are the most tunnel visioned people I know.

 

Sometimes I get a kick out of it, too. Then I remember how bad they're (*)(*)(*)(*)ing up the country.

 

The Baby Boomers used to talk about fighting the "man." Now they are the "man."

 

Propaganda does not entail force. Force, or more broadly, coercion, optimizes the acceptance of propaganda.

 

Virtually everything in this post is wrong. Progressives have, collectively, not supported many actions by the Obama administration. The NDAA was reviled by progressives and regressives alike. The drone strike policy is greatly reviled by liberals. Of course, I suppose the difference is, we don't see the boot of big government on our neck around every corner. We're not ridiculously paranoid, and stuck in our own little epistemological bubble. We realized that socialized health care is by virtually every metric better than what we have now, and that health care is something the free market is simply poorly equipped to handle. We realize that fellow westernized countries that do have things like socialized health care, better-placed regulations, and so forth are not distopian hellholes where the government owns the citizens. And most of us realize that "fiscal sanity" during a recession is a waste of time, as all it does is contract the economy further.

The Liberals also find themselves in the dubious role of defending Government Institutionalized Racial/Gender Discrimination, at a time when the ill-effects of those policies are reaching an intolerable crescendo.


The Left has become an Anti-White, People of Color Version of the KKK, yet many of their core leadership members are whites who must be wincing with ever greater concern as their own children, cousins, grandchildren, and neighbors are denied a future via education, jobs, promotion, etc, by the very policies they are supporting.


For example, for twenty years now, the male-female four-year college graduation rates have been ridiculously lopsided in favor of women, yet they continue to be a “Protected” class.


White Males have been 200%+ under-represented by their portion of the population in 4-year-degree attainment for 16 years, yet they are still one of two demographic groups systematically locked from equal access to scholarships and work study funds.


Just how far will it have to go before Liberal Women decide they cannot support the destruction of their own sons and grandsons?
