You notice that too :) First thing that came to mind for me was no, bonding, equipment cost, materials, tax's, or any of the other expenses that come with owning and maintaining a business..

Then again from the posters Bio, Oregon is a pretty, well, lets say a little weird to put it mildly :) I own property above White City/Rogue River and Bend area and those cities and folk that live there remind me of the deep south where twelve teeth is considered a full set and a comb is something found on the head of a chicken..

Yucka, yucka yucka. The quote, "No one ever got rich keeping their head to the grindstone", comes from a very famous book that just about every entrepreneur from the 70's and early eighties read. I wouldn't have expected you to catch it. Quite the opposite.

I never said there was anything wrong with manual labor, just that there is no money in it.

I've seen the big picture. I've done a lot of data mining. The big picture, all across the country is that liberal oases always outperform conservative areas. It is only the ignorance of your ideology that leads you to think otherwise.

I guess you are a bit slow in the uptake. In your desperate plight to denigrate me you have just shown your ignorance. You tout the poor conservative parts of Oregon. Those are your kind of people.

No you are just plain wrong. I even laid out for you the history of how each party has switched from liberal to conservative and back again. To say that the meaning of a liberal and a conservative switched is just pure ignorance.

Didn't say they weren't, thems good people down southern Oregon! They work all day for chump change. Unlike those special folks that live in Seattle! But you know even a state can demonstrate the same nonsense that you claim.. I guess the southern Oregonians are what you might consider Red folks LOLOLOL

This is getting tiresome. You might read Hayek who used many words in his books to explain how "liberal" and "conservative" exchanged definitional meanings in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

You are quite confused. Hayek used the same argument that I use. That liberals are the ones who produce new ideas and products. Even though conservatives first baulk at the new ideas and products, they eventually come to accept liberal ideas and products. Adam Smith was a liberal and his ideas were originally rejected by the conservatives of his day, yet over time conservatives have come to adopt Smith and his ideas as their own. Same with computers. It was almost exclusively liberal leaning individuals who developed computers with most conservatives rejecting them. Yet just about every conservative now has a computer. There are even conservatives who think conservatives created computers, which is rather funny. The funny ones are those who think Oppenheimer and Einstein were conservative, or Jefferson.

. The abstraction seems to elude you, and the other one. I was simply showing the mechanism, not the details. You should know that I have never had a business painting houses, it was just a literary vehicle to show the relationship between owners of a business and the workers. I specifically mentioned that it was a simplified explanation. Yet, in your typical habit of trying to denigrate me and my ideas, you miss what was actually being said.
