You have a point there. I have noticed that nit only has thus site been infested with more Trumpeizdas but the more dangerous element that seems to be showing up is the posting of Fake News. The Putin trolls seem to be multiplying also. There is one guy who is a liberal but very intellectual and at the level of a professional writer has not posted here since the election. I hope this forum does not go to the extreme left or right. Neither extreme is healthy for a forum.
I have school so I don't post as much anymore. But to me this has always been a right wing site with plenty of pro-Trump thinking people. It's just that it doesn't feel the same anymore from when I started. I know enough to stop being a political ideologue and to start trying to be a scientist.
At least as many times as there are new people to talk to about them. Would for me too, were I doing it for excitement.
I see two opposing extremes going back and forth with little room in the middle. We have plenty of Trump-bashers here and it doesn't seem like an overwhelmingly pro-Trump site to me. What seems lacking is people who are at neither extreme, neither a Trump fan nor a Trump hater. - - - Updated - - - ^ Trump hater. Again, we have no shortage of these on the site right now.
The left didn't just lose. Down to the man, they, their party, and their main stream media were also proven to be corrupt, deceitful, inept, presumptuous, hypocritical, and summarily shamed. Such that now, wedged firmly and deeply within the heart, mind, and soul of every liberal, is a fault, a doubt, a sense, and a certain knowledge that they lie to advance a wrong. Now for confidence, they have fear and rage and trembling. Their progressive war is no longer an arrogant inconsequential dismissal of old fashioned American values. But a consequential slaughter of all that is wholesome and good. And that yes, there is hell to pay for continuance.
I'm pretty sure most people get tired of talking about politics and having silly arguments with silly little posters that don't accomplish anything. Of course, there are the self-important pompous arses too.
So would I, if I did that. There's no way of knowing that, any more than Johnny Appleseed could have monitored the development of all those apple trees he supposedly planted. Have anyone in particular in mind? I don't report Rule 2 violations, BTW.
I think this forum was started by the Stuart Smally guy who is quite the liberal. I've seen the forum become more conservative, certainly after a few progressives left following Hillary's humiliating defeat in November. I think many Progressives do not fare too well in this forum when their cherished ideology is held to the fire. They have the support of most of the Mainstream Media, and their support groups in Left Wing academia and other "safe spaces." Here, their faith in their cult of liberalism/socialism will be tested. But this is good for such progressives to have intelligent discussions---perhaps their first steps of being deprogrammed from their liberal cults.
This site ebbs and flows in terms of left/right balance. IMHO, just before the election, this site was crawling with liberals, and now, it seems to be the opposite. There is no real way to force more liberals to log on, and that's simply what's happening. The liberal board members just aren't posting as much, due to Hillary's defeat.
When you're right, you're right. I've been on the site for years, and it ebbs and flows depending on the political current. You posted it because it was your observation, no need to apologize for reacting to the OP as others have.
I like to be original. I don't follow the crowd. That's why I voted for Trump. I live in the American west and the crowd was voting for Clinton so I decided to vote for Gary Johnson. But he fell into a black hole so I went with Trump instead.
